My friends and I stayed at the harmony hostel a few days ago and we were pretty happy with it. It's clean, good location and the free breakfast is delish. The only issues we had were that the wifi was really bad and the staff (except bar who were awesome) were unhelpful. The guysthat worked the desk were unhelpful and... More

If you need a low budget hostel in Istanbul, you can stay here. Surrounded by many stores and also most of the famous spots in the city, its easy access by tran or ferry boat. A rooftop bar with a common makes it easy to interact with others. Ensuite dorm rooms are clean and have enough space.

I and a friend recently stayed at the Harmony Hostel for three days. Each room has one bathroom with a toilet and shower and the facilities were kept clean. The best play to relax though, was the rooftop terrace. Every morning a free breakfast is served, and the cook will also make eggs upon request. In the evenings homecooked meals... More

I won't forget the people I met here during my three week stay. There is a real feeling of community and this is definitely thanks to the staff who are always looking out for the guests. People congregate in the roof bar area at breakfast and random hours of the day and night, it's easy to find someone to explore... More

A newly renovated hotel with nice interior, very clean and fresh, the hotel is very close to both the Marmara Sea and the historic district of Sultan Ahmed (5 min by walk), walking distance even to Eminonu Square where you can take the boat or bus to almost all of Istanbul both Asian side and the European side, very close... I stayed at Harmony Hostel for two weeks during April/May 2015. It is VERY well located and within walking distance to all the major Istanbul landmarks. The staff are friendly and helpful (except for the Georgian cleaning lady who needs a serious attitude and work ethic adjustment!). The cleanliness of the hostel bathrooms are not the greatest but once again... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
