Our family had a wonderful stay at the Rast. The hotel is an older, boutique hotel located in the heart of Sultanahmet - walking distance to Hagia Sofia, The Blue Mosque, Topaki Palace & the Grand Bazaar. The Sultanahmet tram stop is just a few metres away. The staff were all very friendly and obliging. The rooms are not decorated... More

Rast is a wonderful little boutique hotel in the Sultanahmet district of Istanbul. It isn't luxurious, but it provided an introduction to the color and culture of Istanbul, and that's how we like to experience new places. The room was large and always clean; big breakfasts were in a lovely rooftop dining room, open to views of the Blue Mosque,... More

Amazing view of Sophia Hagia and Blue Mosque from 6th floor restaurant terrace. Situated in the Old Town Sulthanahmet. Easy 5 min walk to Grand Bazaar and 10 mins to Blue Mosque. Tramway is less than 50mts. Staff were helpful and friendly, rooms clean and tidy we booked with Booking.com and the rates were cheaper than what the Hotel had... More

Positives : - Location : In Sulthanahmet district (old part of Istanbul), very central, at the bebinning of Klodfarer street that's 2 steps from the main (tramway) street, an equal distance to Sultanahmet stop and Çemberlitaş stop. 5 minutes walk to Grand Bazaar. (careful - Google Map shows this hotel by the Memeht Akif Ersoy Park, completely wrong ! )... More

We booked this hotel for its proximity to the Blue Mosque and other attractions and because it had an external terrace for breakfast with what looked like magnificent views. Neither disappointed us. To be fair, it's not the most luxurious hotel I've ever stayed in but then the price we paid reflected that. Our bedroom was a decent size and... More

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. In all honesty everything was pretty goid until the last day. Breakfast was mediocre, not many options. Rooms were good. Location is good. Very central to main sites and close to the Grand Bazaar. People at the front desk were informative and helpful. View from the restaurant was phenomenal. (See attached photo) My... More

Great location! We enjoyed walking around to most places from Rast. Breakfast was a good spread. Room sizes were large. Staff could be more friendly but one person in particular - Mr Happy at the reception was very helpful. Unfortunately no room service or food available after breakfast. Overall value for money and recommended for a family

Stayed here with my brother and it deserves high marks for the location, robust (and included) breakfast, and service. The guys at the front desk and the folks working the restaurant were super helpful and provided some valuable advice. Views from the terrace stunning, as well! Only knock is it's a little dated, but since that helps the price point... More

Loved this Hotel .the view from the Roof Eating Terrace was worth the experience alone of looking out to the sea and all around.......nighttime was like a dream....the bedroom overlooked the area of nightlife below. The rooms are very Turkish....so be prepared not to have a flash western style room,so allow for that.they have two reclining massage chairs in the foyer... We stayed there with my family and friends early May. First time in Istanbul we had a free transfer arranged as we would be there for more than 3 days. Upon arrival we were given a room unfortunately on the first floor so we had no view but the noises of the busy strret. The room was a quite comfortable one... More
