This hotel has a great location. Easy to go to major attractions. 20 minutes walk to the mosques. The view of the terrace is wonderful. The breakfast is also good, with many typical dishes. The rooms are big enough.

We stayed 5 nights in this hotel in August 2014 and really liked it. The hotel was small and very friendly with an excellent location. It was cozy and very welcoming. The staff were very helpful in particular Yacob the night receptionist. The staff were respectful and didn't make you feel that you had to tip for every tiny bit... More

I stayed on night at Amber Hotel en route to the airport. The hotel is centrally located with walking distance to the sights and with the very pleasant restaurant area Kumkapi around the corner. Reception staff was very friendly and helpful and got me accomodated quickly. The room was rather spacious albeit with a small bathroom. Bed was OK. The... More

Few nights in that city and i can say that people at the hotel are a good representation of the city citizens: polite, friendly, respectful and helpful. The hotel is close enough to the touristic center without being right in. So you can experience a bit a real live of Istambul by mingling with street vendors and cafe who served... More

Wonderful staying at the Best Western Amber Hotel. Picturesque location in the middle of the historical centre of Istambul. Super clean and tidy rooms in spite of their size (a bit small our triple one). Excellent breakfast and dinner served at the roof terrace. By the way, pretty views over the Marmara I felt really moved by all the staff... More

Excellent location, very friendly and accommodating Staff. Stayed 6 nights and the breakfast never changed, which was a little disappointing as I appreciate some variety. Room was small but comfortable. TV is 95% Turkish language. Wi-FI is very good. Breakfast on the room terrace was a delight, though the sun is very warm in July. My room prices during Ramadan... We stayed at this hotel last month for three nights as part of two centre holiday in Turkey which we booked through Anatolian Sky. The room we were given L002 was the worst hotel room I have ever encountered. It is directly behind the reception desk and next to the lift, you can hear every word said in the reception... More

This very quaint, small but amiable little hotel was OK for three nights but spoilt by the absence of this fantastic creature, Neda, whom we never met. She may have sorted out all the small, niggling problems we encountered. She would not have reduced the noise at night. The floors are solid and echo any footstep, the doors bang and... More

We were staying at the hotel Amber prior to starting cruise. The room was in the basement directly below the main street and the noise was terrible all night, I did not sleep at all. Plus the curtains did not fully cover the window which meant everyone on the street could see into the room. Things got worse in the... More
