I booked a room with a king bed in this hotel on booking.com with a fairly good price and I was very happy and excited to get there with my boyfriend to spend the best vacation ever! Unfortunately, that turned out not to be the case. First, they told us that we need to pay additional fees if we wanted... More

Staff have Bee very helpful. I was supposed to have free airport pickup and did not find any driver when I came to airport. When I reached the hotel I was immediately refunded. Rooms are tiny however this is the standard in old city. Room service is on daily basis and breakfast is delicious. Staff are very helpful and friendly.... More

I stayed in Tulip in July. It was great. They sent me to another hotel just a block away at the first night, but it was good too. I had been upgrated to seaview room, it was wonderful! Love the panorama veiw very much!! And thanks for the guys invited me to have dinner together when they saw me alone.... More

The double room was small but clean and sufficient for showering and crashing after a long day of walking. Everything worked (never checked TV). The staff esp. Azim was incredibly helpful with where to go, what to see and how to get there. Breakfast was lovely on a small outside area. The hotel is within walking distance from the Blue... More

I stayed in this hotel 6 months ago, back in Feb 2015. Finding it was a little difficult, but you can trust the Turkish cab drivers to get you there! Initial thoughts, a little small but the friendliness of the staff and the strategic location compensated for that. I'm a going out person so wasn't in much. The hotel is... More

I stayed here for four nights in July. The gentleman who checked me in said he was "upgrading" me to a sea view room. The room did have a balcony with a nice view of the sea. However I cannot imagine a smaller room. There was barely room to walk around the bed to get to the closet. The bathroom... More

Hello, Tulip House! Thanks a lot for your special attitude to everyone. We had an amazing room with balcony, tasty breakfasts, convenient and nearest to Old Town location, pleasant small talks every morning and detailed explanation about a main sights. Everyone in your good team gave us attentive and helpful service. Nothing made us upset or disappointed. I will recommend... More

We arrived very early for our reservation because of airport transportation. The very polite gentlemen offered us tea, helped us relax and gave us a map then proceeded to tell us how to find the local attractions using the map and footnotes. He then recommended a few good restaurants and told us they would be happy to allow us to... More

Staff were very helpful with introduction to the city, especially mr. Azim as he mapped out attractions in the sultanahmet city and taught us how to get around. Furthermore, they suggested suitable tours and organised all of our hotel transfers. Room was okay for three people, as we knew the size when the booking was made, it was sufficient enough... More

We booked our reservation with booking.com -- a non refundable reservation- months before our trip on what appeared to be a good deal. I reviewed the reviews the closer we got to our trip and what I feared happened based on recent review -- our room was not available and we were moved to another hotel for the 1st night.... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
