The staff are super tentative, helpful and friendly. They offered great advise of tours and even gave me a scarf one night when we left the hotel and it was cold outside, without asking and without wanting anything in return. The staff always greeted friendly and there is someone at the front desk all the time. The breakfasts were just... More

“Maywood” the place I have chose for my Honeymoon residence, we have arrived late and the reception was waiting for us, Mr. Rajab, was very nice, kind &helpful, he advised how much we should range our tips to the airport driver. After a small welcome gift “blue amulet” Mr. Rajab was kind to sit-down with us to check our needs... More

What an amazing place. We were so happy with the hotel, mainly because of the staff. The rooms need attention. The basin tap in my room was loose, of the two wall lights above the beds only one had a shade, i didn't think the breakfast was great, my son said it was the best breakfast of our trip (3... More

We spent 3 days as a large family group, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The location is very good for sight seeing, shopping and access to the Bosphorus. The rooms are clean and of a reasonable size. We would certainly come back here when in Istanbul again.

this hotel is fairly small and our room was not very large, but the bathroom was a good size and had a good strong shower. The breakfast buffet had a good choice and the dining room was clean and bright. The location was good. - five minutes on foot to the metro but only ten minutes walking anyway to the... More

This hotel has a great location in the Old City of Istanbul. It's very handy for the Metro, the trams and ferries, but as it's on a small street you wouldn't know since there's hardly any traffic noise. The staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms clean and there's a substantial (Turkish) brekfast as part of the room price. It... More

Hotel well situated, a short 15 minute walk to the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Tokapki palace. Front desk staff superb. Very friendly and helpful. Rooms a bit small but how much are you in your room? Hotel very clean. Breakfast has a big variety of items to choose from. If I travelled to Istanbul again I would certainly stay here... More

We booked this hotel as this is the closest to all the sightseeing places in Istanbul. The tram station is also very closeby and easy to get around. The friendly hotel manager and staffs do go out their way to assist you. If every my travel plans takes me back to Istanbul, I would surely stay here. I was in... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
