I spent three nights here on the recommendation of a friend and I wasn't disappointed. The hotel itself if charming and the rooms are of a good size and very well equipped. Breakfast was plentiful, and having it on the rooftop terrace was an added bonus. It's very well located, within walking distance of all the main sites (and a... More

I very much liked my stay at Berce. I stayed on the ground floor, and it was convenient, comfortable, and quiet. For me, a good hotel means a comfortable bed, good shower, great location, and quiet surroundings. Berce was perfect for me.

I was very lucky to stay in this quaint little hotel within walking distance from the Blue Mosque. I arrived early in the morning after a gruelling 2 weeks of work in another city and an injured foot. Not only was I able to check in early but Mehmet, one of the nicest, most pleasant men I've ever met, arranged... More

We were able to walk to most of the major places of interest from this hotel's central location. Breakfast on the quaint rooftop was a nice way to start the day. The hotel manager, Mehmet is very helpful with local information, especially where to find the best local food.

The best part about this hotel is the location, literally 10 minutes or less to the Blue Mosque or Hagia Sophia. The hotel has air conditioning all over, flat screen TVs with some international channels and a mini bar. The rooms are kinda small, but manageable and furnished with everything you may need. However, the bed sheets had small holes... More

This is a very nice hotel in Istanbul. The best element that the reception help you everything what you want - for example breakfast asking, transport etc. The room is clean and not so noisy. From the hotel you can find easily and fast a lot of good things in Istanbul - for ex.: Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Gülhane Park,... More

I've stayed for three nights at the Hotel and i was surprisingly pleased by the room, staff and neighbourhood! First of all, the street where the hotel is situated is very narrow and rarely circulated by cars so there are small chances for you to be disturbed. The neighbourhood is pretty quiet and i've felt safe walking on the street... More

We stayed 6 days at Berce Hotel and it made our holiday in Istanbul really comfortable. The hotel is located just few hundred meters away from the greatest historical sights in Sultanahmet, still in a quiet street. Rooms have air conditioning, which is really useful during the hot afternoons. The motor of all air conditioning machines are just outside the... More

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 12 days, and found it excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was nice, and the location was great- very close to the Blue Mosque and Little Aya Sofya, water views from the breakfast terrace, and a surprisingly quiet neighbourhood. We would stay there again without hesitation. and... More

I stayed at the Berce hotel for 6 days and the hotel played a big part in making my family's vacation in Istanbul very memorable. It is very close to the Blue Mosque and other tourist attractions in the Sultanahmet area, however, it is located in a nice quiet secluded street away from all the hustle bustle that surrounds the... Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
