Recent family holiday included 4 days in Istanbul - beautiful experience. We stayed 4 nights bed and breakfast at the Zagreb Hotel. The staff were very pleasant and responsive to any issues we had. On arrival we were shown to our adjacent rooms as requested. However our en suite was not clean, when I advised the porter he apologetically offered... More

Actually I don't know who has given 4 stars to this hotel. + : nothing to say, but maybe the breakfast and the air conditioner of the rooms. - : Verry disappointing at the time of arrival. Very unfriendly even rude staff. The rooms are old, tiny & dirty. The bathroom gives impression of being so untidy and contaminated. Our... More

The rooftop pool is the main attraction here. Too bad the water was cloudy for two days. And the pool attendant kicked me out for sitting and reading up there because "You must be swimming." Most of the staff were very grouchy and unfriendly. The breakfast was a great spread. The rooms were tiny. They were remodeling 4/5 of the... More

Very central, shops and Grand Bazaar so close. Helpful staff, especially one of the the receptionists, who checked me in , for my return flight, and printed document. Rooms cleaned daily and fresh towels and toiletries replaced every day. Hairdryer and fridge in room. Would definitely return... Thank you so much.

Good value for money, friendly staff, lovely pool, sauna, steam and Turkish bath. Had an amazing massage and fabulous buffet breakfasts. Tram, metro, grand bazaar all close by. The rooms are smallish but perfectly functional, who wants to come to such a fabulous city and then spend all their time in their room? My 2nd stay and I loved it.

For the 3rd time even more lucky. This little hotel keeps calling us back. On arrival they greeted us as if we were long lost friends. The kettle for making coffee was already in our room and extra cups as they know by now we drink a lot of coffee. The staff was so friendly, the breakfast superb and the... More

We didn't like this hotel quite that much as it suffered from tlc syndrome. The staff were hospitable but sounded a slight bit arrogant. However, I must say they were kind to pack us some breakfast for an early morning flight.

No way is this a four-star hotel. The rooms are ridiculously tiny, and the finishings, fixtures and fittings are generally in bad shape - lifting floors, leaking showers and so on. The staff are mostly uninterested, except when it comes to getting you to pay for "extras" that most hotels provide for free (use of the sauna, fresh juice at... More

Apart from one staff member, all of the staff were extremely rude to the point of not even greeting us. The room was shocking the shower leaked everywhere the room wa so small there was nowhere to even place our... More

Not a 4 stars hotel, but it is close to the main points of interest (bazar, mosque, palace etc.). The metro station is very near. The room was very small, but I think it was the only one small on the floor. The shower is very small, too. Breakfast is quite rich, with lots of salads. The room was very... More

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
