We stayed here with our three young children. The staff couldn't have been more thoughtful, welcoming and kind. They prepared special treats for our kids including freshly baked cookies! Breakfast was a lovely selection of continental and turkish items. The best part is that this hotel is a 2 minute walk to the sultanahmet area with hagia sofia and blue... More

My wife and I stayed at the Arden City Hotel for 3 nights in mid-Dec. I had booked the hotel well in advance and promptly received an email from the Front Desk with suggestions, offer to book transportation, restaurant bookings, etc. I had emailed to inquire about a free upgrade since my wife and I were celebrating our 5th year... Arden City hotel made our short visit to Istanbul very memorable, as soon as we arrived they offered us Turkish tea, coffee and some biscuits. The staff went over all the amenities the hotel provides and also suggested a tour for my mom and I since we were two females traveling alone. They upgraded us to to a premier room,... More

A nice little hotel just minutes away from all the tourist attractions in Sultanahmet. Also just a 2 minute walk away from the tram taking you over the bridge to the Karakoy and Beyoglu areas (for the better restaurants and nightlife). The rooms were not large, but very clean. Only annoying thing was that we were woken up every morning... More

I booked this hotel directly thru Expedia, and we arrived very early, they offer us a complimentary breakfast upon arrival and got our room ready for really early check in, after a long trip from Russia, this was amazing. The room was big and very comfy, we overview Sultanhamet neighborhood and were just few steps away from Haya Sophia. They... More

This hotel is located about two blocks away from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia as well as the tram. Great hospitality. I stayed in the Hagia Sophia room which had a great view from the balcony. Was greeted with tea and information about the area. The Grand Bazaar and the Ferry is also within walking distance. Lots of shops... More

The Arden has the best location - minutes from all the beautiful things you'll want to see. The staff is the friendliest I have ever encountered. The breakfast buffet is filled with amazing delicacies. The view from our room was spectacular. I am so grateful to the staff for all their help and advice.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
