+++ Excellent location, very close to all sightseeing objects. Also many small restaurants are in the same street. Very small hotel in a noisy, but fun street. The receptionist was very warm person, willing to help in every possible way. The rooms are tidy, the towels were changed couple times during our stay (5 nights). We had a sea view... More

I'm staying in the Ida right now. I'm in Sultanahmet District of Istanbul for seven days. The Ida is cheap and on the main restaurant/cafe street of this area, about five easy minutes walk from the walls of the Blue Mosque. The room is small but that is hardly a problem, who needs a big room when your main reason... More

The 'hotel' in the name is a bit misleading, it's best to consider it a hostel with the benefit of the privacy of your own room and bathroom for the same price as a dormitory. It really is only just off the main square, at the heart of everything a traveler to Istanbul could wish to see. The downside of... More

My main issue was the ANT INFESTATION in our room which they did nothing about!! We stayed for three nights- on the second night our room was covered in ants, in our shower, our bed- everywhere! I went down to reception and they said they had no spare rooms so they could do nothing but that we would be given... More

I'm a firm believer in value as a hotel room is just a place to rest one's head at the end of the day but this "hotel has to be the worst I've ever stayed in on many travels around the world! It is just one room wide, about 10ft, with one room front and back on four floors! The... More

Good: LOCATION, staff, price Bad: Cleanliness (lack thereof), comfort, etc etc etc Bottom line: If you can afford something a little nicer in this area/on this street, book that instead. But the location is amazing. If you will be out of the room most of the time/not staying long, it's fine. My boyfriend and I spent 5 nights here during... More

This Hotel has only 7 tiny rooms... 2 of them are in the basement with no windows. Our room was not on the street so very quiet. The stairs are like climbing a ladder. The rooftop breakfast room is small but never crowded, and has a great view. The Breakfast was adequate. The location is excellent if you like night... More
