The hotel is located near all the major tourist attractions, we didn't have to use any public transport, Aya Sofya, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Galata Bridge are just a few minutes walk away. Our room was very clean and spacious. The staff is very helpful, there was nothing they couldn't fix. Special thanks to Irfan and Yusuf at... More

My boyfriend and me spent 5 nights in Gulhane Park Hotel. What to say...... BAD BAD BAD! Beware of the staff! The concierge tried to sell us a 70EURO bus/boat tour and we found the same tour for 7EURO!! 10 times less the price.... the concierges take percentages from everything they sell you so they kept trying. The first night... More

We stayed at this lovely hotel next to Gulhane Park and Topkapi Palace. Smart good sized room (we booked the triple) with large shower room. Clean and comfortable. Polite and helpful staff, especially at reception. Breakfast was standard but the staff made it special. Our 7yr old daughter was made to feel like a princess. Tram stop nearby and hotel... More

Location is really amazing...within walking distance of all the major sites in Sultanahmet and close to the tram station. Surrounded by restaurateurs and shops BUT some building work is going on so spa + bar + roof top area not available. General feeling of neglect....average breakfast......1 nice front of desk man and 1 not helpful at all person! The pictures... More

We arrived in the middle of the night, when the time changed in Turkey. Greeted by friendly staff and the next morning through confusion of times we missed breakfast. A few minutes later the staff provided us with a light breakfast. The hotel, situated in the Old Town suited us for sightseeing. All nearby and within suitable walking distance. The... More

Gulhane Park is a nice tourist hotel. It's well situated close to the old town places of interest. The staff is friendly, the breakfast is typical tourist fare. We enjoyed our stay. If possible try to get a corner room, they are more spacious!

Gulhane Park Hotel was booked as part of the package and we started & ended our 8 day tour of Turkey in this small hotel. Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
