Had a great time in Istanbul! Good deal of it goes to the charming small hotel with a perfect location. Everyone was telling that the best place to stay is the Taksim area because of the restaurants, shopping, nightlife & local colour. We stayed here for 4 days, in executive room, at first floor. The room isn't very big, but was very nice, and (most important) CLEAN, VERY CLEAN. We were so glad that we chose the Erten Konak for our 2 night stay in Istanbul. ..Yes, the room was small but beautifully decorated and comfortable and with a close up view of the Blue mosque. There are better places! This is a beautiful hotel... but the rooms are too tiny!! I would recommend only if the person was open to sleeping in a closet. more

Really nice boutique hotel, tastefully decorated rooms, great service (incl breakfast) and view on the blue Mosque in a quiet location. Only downside was some noise from the room upstairs, due to wooden flooring (we stayed on the 3rd floor), and a dodgy TV reception...but would certainly recommend this lovely hotel! more
