Having stayed elsewhere in sultanhamet ...I was stunned by how incredibly helpful, gracious and accommodating ALL the staff were at the Ferman. From our arrival the doorman and bellboys rushed to help us with our luggage, taking them to our huge and comfortable room. We were offered tea of coffee and Turkish delight! Having arrived late and leaving for a... More

I loved this hotel! In a fabulous location - so easy for Sultanahmet and a short walk to the tram stop to explore the rest of Istanbul. Rooms are comfortable and staff are super friendly. A real highlight for me was breakfast on the rooftop terrace with views of the blue mosque - stunning :) I will definitely be returning!

What made the hotel stay memorable were the staff. They were accommodating and friendly. The hotel too is located very well - close to the major tourist attractions but in a quite, cosy corner of the city. The Sea of Marmara could be seen from the windows and balconies from any floor (the view from the terrace where the restaurant... More

Excellent care of incoming tourists. From the moment we arrived, Vassel made sure that we were comfortable in our room, felt safe & secure in the community and had an incredible vacation experience in Istanbul. The hotel is located in a very friendly and safe area, within easy walking distance of most of the important sights. Vassel, as well as... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this excellent hotel. The staff both at reception and the rest of the hotel went out of their way to assist and to ensure that our stays (twice) at this comfortable Hotel were first class. It has a good location for local sight seeing and restaurants and the roof top terrace provides excellent views... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
