First we were given a room with an old bathroom (which looked like it hadn't been cleaned) and the window opened onto a wall. After complaining, they changed us the next day to a better room overlooking the pool. There were no teamaking facilities as advertised, and no pool towels. Breakfast was ok if you are Turkish (!), but European... More

Stayed at this hotel because my tour started here. Room would have been acceptable for price paid, except that i could not sleep for the noise from the aircon. Tried switching it off, but woke two hours later from the heat. At checkin, was not given wifi password, or details of where the included breakfast was, or what time. Would... More

Very very nice and clean hotel. The staff are so friendly. And what i like about Hamidiye hotel that it is strategically located. Other than that the food is so delicious and clean. If you like to have a nice tour in Istanbul I advice you to stay at this hotel :))

I visited Istanbul in the beginning of July 2015. The hotel was unacceptable ! The facilities of the building were old and the insulation was non-existent. Also, the staff didn't speak English and the food was of poor quality. The signal of the Wi-Fi was also weak and we couldn't communicate easily with our families. The only positive thing is... More

Very bad hotel, the person who works in the hotel are really stupid. No one can help you. The check in is 2 o'clock. And the reception don't allow you inter also in 1:50. The management should be changed.

I really enjoyed my stay, the rooms were cozy and clean, breakfast was very good too and waiters and staff were really helpful, plus the hotel location in Laleli near to the ancient places was great, you can go for a walk no need for transportations

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
