It was a great surprise to find this hotel through Internet at the airport almost midnight, after the attendant from Turkish Airlines refused to give us our hotel voucher for a mandatory connection in the evening more than 12 hours, even with a confirmation from their support in Brazil that we would receive the voucher just after our arrival at... The hotel has small rooms with bad views of surrounding area, but clean and attentive staff, good internet access in all of the hotel, great and well variated buffet, hotel is close to site seeing locations and old markets which was good

this hotel for being in the old town beyoglu, close to local train transportation, the grand bazaar, and sultanhamet square. The accomodations were very nice, very well decorated, and very well done. i would give it 4 stars, out of 5. not first class, but close.

Hello, Just for your information this hotel was acquired by different group Windham. However still very good service and support by friendly personnel was given to us. We booked this hotel while it was still Crown Plaza using our IHG Reward Points, however when we arrived to Istanbul it was not CP anymore. We were worried if our IHG points... More

Very Charming Hotel. By no means cheap but location is good. Rooms are spacious compared to the general size of Turkish hotels. Entrance of the hotel is a little crowded and the area can get a little noisy at certain times.

I walked to the Grand Bazaar, then to the Hagia Sophia the the Blue Mosque and returned here for a bite to eat in the cafe. My room is small but nicely appointed. The staff is friendly and many of the speak English. The shopping near here is unbelievable and the history is so rich is is almost overwhelming.

We stayed for three nights. The hotel is clean and modern but the rooms are extremely small. Even the executive class, which is two steps up from standard, is not 5 star quality. Although the hotel staff tries to appear attentive, every phone call we made to the concierge and front desk went unreturned - at least 5 times in... More

A nice hotel at a great location, there wasn't much option for vegetarians though. The rooms were spacious and very clean.

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
