I have had all i expected from a hostel: freindly staff, common area to meet people, kitchen to cook, free tea and coffee, great sourdough cakes! It was clean, located in the best spot and very safe. Thats why i settled in this hostel for very long time. Thank you neverland!

If you're looking for bed, interesting international entourage and you're unpretentious traveler, Neverland Hostel is for you. It's located near main avenue and you will spend only five minutes by walk to get there. Hostel staff is very helpful. One man from reception played backgammon with me, the other one, Berkhan, like good music and Russian music too, which was very... More

It is OK for a hostel, advantageous location, helpful reception, especially Mr Arkhan, the tallest receptionist with sonorous voice ! If that was not him, maybe I am now homeless and become a beggar at least in some days! He helped me from the beginning to the end to buy an air ticket to go back to my country, I... More

THe hostel is very well located in the modern part of Istanbul. The staff is willing to provide information when asked. When we stayed there there was a huge group of students, so we couldn't really appreciate the atmosphere of the hostel or meeting new people. Breakfast is really great! One point to pay attention to: the rooms are not... More

Dear Anne-Sophie, Thanks for your feedback. Actually we host various groups from Denmark, Germany and Holland in April for their study visit. Your dormitory room was the only one for the guests. Hope you'll visit us again and enjoy the atmosphere better with our international guests next time. Our staff is doing daily cleaning, they take care of blankets and... More

My friend and I arrived late at night and found directions to hostel easy to follow. Woke up to a shining gem in a uniquely arty part of town. Shops line the street with great Turkish hand made creations. Hostel clean, tidy and has the best breakfast we have experienced in Turkey. Staff are very friendly and only too happy... More

It must be said that the hostel has a great vibe and that everyone working behind the front desk was genuine and kind. However, the only reason for this note is a warning to new comers. After our first night I awoke with bug bites all over my face and neck. I didn't think much of it reasoning that it... More

Dear Trace, Thanks for your nice words and feedback. Our hostel is cleaned daily (toilets, rooms, lounge and etc.) and all of the linens, covers, blankets and towels are washed also daily. We have never faced such a problem in our private rooms (double, triple, single) But for the dorms (as you indicated in your comment that "we discovered a live... More

The good things first: a really cheap place for Istanbul and the location is perfect. You can easily reach the main nightlife areas in Beyoglu on foot. Also the hisotric center is within walkign distance. I staid in a 3 bed room with two friends and we only paid 13 € per person including breakfast. Breakfast was quite good. Now... More

I found this area to be very cozy and homey hostel in fact probably the most homey of the hostels I have been to however I have only really been to 3 at this point as I have been camping for most of my travels through Europe. The staff is very nice and friendly, the atmosphere is the main selling... More

The hostel is situated not far from the turmoil on Istaklal, but in a relatively quiet street. We loved to sit outside to have a coffee and watch the people passing by. We had a spacious room, clean, colourful decorated and with a wide view on a quiet courtyard with trees, cats and birds. The staff is available 24/7 and... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
