This brilliantly positioned tiny hotel is a gem. There are no elevators...but they happily move suitcases up and down, the breakfast on the terrace is the wonderful start to an Istanbul day. An exciting place to stay...position is incredible for major tourist destinations and restaurants...and...it is spotlessly clean. Recommend unreservably.

Friendly, clean, good location. Seems a bit hidden but is only a block away from one of the busier "walking" streets with lots of really good sidewalk restaurants. Duvares is just up from the hotel on Akbiyik street and has really good kebabs. The hotel honored our upcoming wedding anniversary with a nice bottle of wine and a top floor... More

The outstanding thing about the hotel is that the owner, Hamit Balkir and all his staff were engaging, friendly and willing to help you in any way while in Istanbul. It really was like staying in a home. A Turkish breakfast is included and was the best we had during our travel in Turkey. It is in the Old City... More

The Osman Han Hotel is located in the Old Town and walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and other highlights. Great restaurants nearby also. Our room 32 was very comfortable with air con and nice new bathroom. A great breakfast is served on the roof every day. The service by the reception staff was excellent, with... More

There are many small hotels in the old city near the Blue Mosque and Hagi Sofia, but this one is special. The rooms are lovely and spotless, with complementary Turkish delight and a split of red wine. The buffet breakfast is fabulous - eat on the rooftop and watch the boats on the Bosphorus - it includes fresh omelets, Turkish... More

Osmanhan is a very pleasant place to stay. We visited Istanbul during a busy conference week so most of the hotel chains were full. We Booked here from Tripadvisor and loved it very much. Location is great, situated in the Old City and close to every attraction. The area surrounding the hotel has a nostalgic air with old wooden houses,... More

I arrived at the hotel in the evening after a long day of travel. I was greeted kindly by the front desk gentleman, who also helped me with my bags. The check-in was smooth and fast, and the gentleman also gave me two clearly marked maps, explaining where we were and recommending two nearby places for dinner. I took his... More

I stayed here with my husband just for a night since we booked a 5-day tour of Turkey for the following day. We were pleased by the warm reception, the comfortable room, complimentary wine and the location which is very close to Akbiyik, a street full of restaurants and it was also near the top tourist attractions of Istanbul. Everything... More

I have stayed at the Osmanhan Hotel several times and have always been sad to leave. It is a wonderful small hotel in the Sultanahmet District of Istanbul and is an ideal base for visiting the most famous sites of the city which are within easy walking distance. Not only that but for the evening there is a whole street... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this hotel. Hakan and Hamit were very accommodating and treated us like friends. From the moment you arrive and are offered a cup of tea and biscuits you feel welcome. They gave us great recommendations for meals and tips for touring. Take a map from reception and start walking around the town. Location is... More
