Perfect quiet location in walking distance to almost everything. Room was comfortable and clean. Wifi service was good. Staff were very helpful especially with airport transfer. Buffet breakfast not too bad. We were overall pleased with our stay

I am single female in my 30's - stayed here for 2 nights in Sept/Oct at the beginning and end of my 2 week stay in Turkey. The front desk guys speak enough English and will show you the main attractions on a map when you check in. I paid $95 for a double room. For those of you on... More

The entrance to the lift and the room was a bit tired but adequate and was clean. Staff friendly but the best thing about this hotel is the location. You can walk to most of the sites, including Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia, Spice Bazaar, tram stop, hop on/hop off bus and more.

The staff at Hatay hotel are friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is situated in a central location close to restaurants and bars, transport, the wharf as well as many sightseeing interests. The hotel is not anything fancy, the rooms and bathroom are very small yet they're comfortable and the air con works well however the the smoke from other... More

This basic but clean and tidy hotel is situated in a great location for all the main sites, The staff are friendly and helpful in organising anything you need and the breakfast is basic Turkish fare but fresh and plentiful.

Basic hotel with comfortable rooms, friendly staff, breakfast is ok- standard Turkish breakfast, our shower was quite small and hard to get the right balance between hot and cold but everything else was great. Walking distance to all of the main sites and restaurants. Stayed here with Intrepid tour.

Great location, easy to walk to key sites and near tram. Stayed pre-Intrepid tour. Main complaint is should have requested non-smoking room. On a cool night would have been good to have a warmer bed covering. Staff friendly. Has a lift.

The staff here are extremely helpful & welcoming. The location is within walking distance to everything. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Couldn't ask for more. A great place to base yourself to explore Istanbul.

The staff are polite and friendly, the room was comfortable, nice and clean, nice hot shower. The breakfast was quite good, but doesn't start until 07:00 which is a problem if you want an early start to your day.

This place is terrible. Cramped and poorly maintained bathrooms, tiny rooms, lumpy beds, little to no hot water mostly and pretty ordinary breakfast. We were in a tour group and we all got sick at this place. The Antioch is a sisfer hotel across the road and looks same but we didbt stay there.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
