We were unlucky enough to stay in the older part of the hotel, but lucky enough not to get a room with sewage smell, as did others. Nevertheless, the room was small, the bath tiny, and both in dire need of refurbishment, as were several pieces of furniture. There was a phone installed in the bathroom, I guess as compensation... We picked this hotel for its location near main sights and the oceanfront but that's about all they have to offer. It's on a dark side street. The room was basic but run-down and the thin carpeting was dirty. The bathroom was so small you couldn't open the door completely without being stopped by the sink. The shower doors didn't... More

Mehmet and his staff are warm and welcoming. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, furnishings updated. Some guests complain that the bathrooms are small. Small baths are common in Europe and around the world (other than U.S.A. !). I had no problem adapting. The location is excellent -- a couple of blocks from Sirkeci tram station, very close to major... More

We spent 2 nights in this hotel. The overall quality is not spectacular, anyway it is located at 15 mins walkink to Santa Sophia. Very close to the sea as well. Bathroom in poor conditions. I appreciated the view from the terrace were we got the breakfast, very poor I would say. The attention of the personnel was very good... More

I arrived at midnight and it was my first trip to Istanbul, so I can't make any other comparisons. I had a single room which was adequate and the wifi was poor, but I was happy with the more important things. Arriving late though I realised how it was a good spot to still get some food, either from a... More

We had booked a family room for 4, they couldn't find our reservation. So we ended up in 2 separate tiny rooms. The floor wasn't mopped, there were footprints and hair. The pillows are ancient and probably carry ancient bugs in them. The tiny bathroom wasn't clean, the toilet wasn't clean, even though it had a sanitized wrap around. When... More

The location is very good, walking distance to most of the tourist attraction in istanbul like Bosphorus and golden horn river, mosque and to the grand bazzar. 5 minutes walk to serkesi train station. I like the mini buffet, great selection of my favorite breakfast food on the rooftop of the hotel with the view of the river and the... More

Spent two nights at this hotel recently on my first visit to Istanbul. Choose it simply for its location and to be fair it is close to some of the main sightseeing points but in terms of accommodation it was terrible. From start to finish the staff was horrible to deal with, maybe this had something to do with me... More
