The hotel is located in the Sultanahmet area of the old city of Istanbul in a side street of Akbiyik Caddesi. It is a relatively small budget hotel with no elevator, but clean and comfortable rooms with aircontintioning. For elderly people with knee problems, the stairs would be difficult to manage since they are relatively high and turning. The standard... More

I would definitely recommend this lovely place and will be back with pleasure! Perfect location, cosy rooms with all necessary (safety box, fridge, hairdryer), amazing terrace where you can enjoy free coffee and tea anytime, contemplating over the Bosphorus or the Blue Mosque. But the biggest asset of this place is their staff!!! Extremely attentive, they pay attention to every... More

The hotel is Located very near the blue mosque and Ayasofya. The staff is friendly and very forthcoming on things to do in the area. It certainly lives up to its high tripadvisor rating. The rooms are a bit small though - there's just about enough place for a bed and there's no lift ( though the staff help in... More

Central location. Only a 7 to 10 minute walk to both blue mosque and aya sofia entrances. Within 2 blocks there is a plentiful selection of restaurants including shadow which we visited twice. There is also a nice souvenir shop located accross the street that sells turkish lamps, dinnerware, magnets, and scarves. Wonderful breakfast on their patio on the roof.... More

It has good location, 5 minutes walking from Aya Sophia and Blue Mosque. Staff were friendly - Hamza, the Sales Manager of the hotel, gave us a detailed info about Istanbul and marked touristic attractions on the map he gave us. 3 floor and additional one for free breakfast provided by hotel. You can taste most of Turkish sweets. If... More

The hotel is excellent! Location is perfect close by the everything in old town just walking distance to blue mosque, hagia sophia, topkapi palace and underground cistern.. The rooms are well decorated and very comfortable. Also I saw that every room had a different colour bedspread. This is a perfect room style I have ever seen. If you are looking... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
