An extremely Turkish appearance outside but rather dated and decrepid inside. Our bedroom was at the rear of the hotel and it was somewhat gloomy. The bathroom was ancient and smelled damp although it was all in working order! However, that said, the hotel is perfectly placed for all the wonderful buildings and historic sites Istanbul has to offer, being... More

This is a budget hotel. The location is on a quiet street but walking distance to Haggia Sophia and the Tokapi Palace is great. My room was small (there was a bed but no chair), however the bed was comfortable and the bathroom efficient. The room had a view of the sea. Breakfast, which is included, was on a roof... More

Firstly, for the money you pay to stay here, this hotel represents excellent value. The Nayla Palace is a short walk from the biggest and best tourist attractions in the old city and some really good restaurants. The only negative thing I can think of to say is that the rooms are on the small side, but they're comfortable and... More

This hotel can be an inexpensive base to explore Istanbul. We paid only $56/night (breakfast included). It was a basic Turkish breakfast (tea, bread, butter, jam. olives, hard boiled eggs, juice, cucumbers, tomatoes, and sometimes melon), but a great way to start the day. It was served on a rooftop with a great view of the Sea of Mamara. We... More

We travelled on 16.07.2013, and we had only 3 days, but wanted to see everywhere(all sightseeing of Istanbul ,we were in a worry how our hotel will be, is it far to the sightseeing of Istanbul or not? So with these questions in our mind we went to Nayla Palace. There we were met by the owner of this Hotel Kadir... More

In the first place, you have to realize that this was not built as a hotel - it was a private house, probably a pretty nice one. Therefore, some of the rooms are wonderful, some of the rooms a horrible, and everything in between. We were somewhere in between, but managed to sneak a peak at the nice rooms when... More

Dirty, terrible place. They gave us a room that was a corridor with 2 beds, with a kind of bathroom where you couldn' t stay sit on the toilet and close the door...we complained and they changed our room...the new room was underneath and not cleaned.

When I arrived in Sultanahmet I had no accommodation booked and was in search of a Hostel dorm, however as I passed Nayla Palace I was offered a private single room (no bathroom) for not much more than what the dorms down the road were asking. This hotel has the friendliest staff, is kept impeccably clean and at very affordable... More

We have just came back from 5 days in Istanbul for NYE and we stayed at Nayla Palace. Good points: -location: really close Blue Mosque etc, like 200 mt from S.Sofia! And also close to a street full of nice places to eat and to the metro in Sultanahmet. -owner: speaks good english, and is very kind and helpful, as... More

I travel and review very regularly and always give a fair review of every place because I appreciate other peoples opinions when making choices during my travels. We (my partner and I) arrived into Istanbul via the overnight train from Sofia at just after 6am. After getting extortionately ripped off from the taxi driver we arrived at Nayla Palace at... More
