I don't believe that the Hotel Saruhan really needs another raving review, but here goes. We stayed a week. felt like we were finally home after some travel in the EU. The beds were not great, the bathrooms and the rooms were. We stayed in two rooms during our visit. Both large, the second one a seperate suite from the... More

Our stay here was an amazing experience. From the first moment I felt I came to a welcoming, amazing place where everyone is friendly and tries to accommodate my family the best possible way. Hotel is in a quiet, old neighborhood in Old Town - Sultanahmet district, minutes away from the Sultanahmet Mosque (Blue Mosque), Hagia Sofya Museum, Topkapi Palace,... More

What a joy it was to stay at this small family run hotel, great sized room, comfortable beds. Great central heating (It was a bit chilly in Jan) We were initially there for 2 nights before going on a brilliant 9 day tour that was organised by Melahat of Shashot travel, a sister company to Saruhan. We returned to the... More

We stayed at the Saruhan Hotel in Istanbul in August, 2014 and I still enjoy thinking about the gracious hospitality we enjoyed there. (It is now January.) The location was optimal - we were right in the touristic area and everything was closeby - a charming walk away. Our room was comfortable and there was a delightful breakfast served on... More

This wonderful little very clean, comfortable hotel is in a wonderful neighbourhood of old wooden houses, a very nice park. And decent restaurants nearby, the sea only 5 minutes away, the Blue Mosque only 15 minutes away. The Saruhan is a sanctuary , a real home away from home. Safe streets with no pesky carpet salesmen, just folks living their... More

Clean hotel. Nothing fancy - you need a bed, a shower and breakfast and that is what you get. Getting a room at the backside is recommended if you want to sleep calmly. However our room could have done with a chair to sit in. Breakfast on the terrace is great. Extensive, and managed by a lady with the sweetest... More

We did enjoy our stay of six nights on our first visit to Istanbul. There is a noticeable and welcome attention to detail in the services in the room and at breakfast. The space in the bedroom was good for a big city; the shower and water pressure kept us happy; the WC was a bit cramped. Harun at reception... More

Very comfortable rooms, the size of the bathroom was a nice surprise. Everything was clean! Cheap drinks in the minibar. Breakfast was okay and enough choice, although it wasn’t really my taste. The location of the hotel was a big plus! Friendly receptionists. I recommend!

Hotel rooms were very clean as well as the bathrooms. Breakfast on the roof with views of the water was perfect, also plenty of food. Reception was very informative and offered assistance whenever needed. Left my ipad charger in the room when I left and when contacted by email responded very quick even with a photo of the charger to... More

We spent four nights here this month. Their highly recommended sister hotel was full so we accepted this alternative. It's a very convenient location in a typical residential area of the city somewhat less touristy than others. Plenty of interesting local restaurants in the neighborhood. It's a ten minute walk to Sultanahmet area. It's steeply downhill from the tram through... More
