I decided to write a review of this hotel because we want to confirm the negative qualities that have already been mentioned. The hotel is in a great place, but everything else is terrible. The rooms are small (due to circumstances we have changed the two, they had trouble opening), in both rooms was leaking shower. In the second, to... More

While I was staying at this hotel I was sick and with a school group. I spent a lot of time in the hotel so I grew to know it quite well, here are a few things I feel anybody who is considering should know: 1) the staff was extremely rude and spoke little to no English. 2) the rooms... More

For the price range, Grand Tahir Is real value for money. Just few meters away from Tram station, offering connectivity to whole Istanbul. Within walkable distance from big old city attractions - Blue mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi palace, Grand bazar. Right in the heart of markets...so many eating places. Only negative is bit cramped and poor choices for vegetarians. Overall... More

We used this hotel as part of a tour through Travel Talk. We have done tours through Travel Talk before and always been more than happy with the accommodation, but this hotel was so disappointing. The location was pretty good, but that's the only positive. Staff were rude and unhelpful. Rooms were small, noisy and unclean. Breakfast was very average,... More

I didn't like this hotel very much for two reasons. 1) The staff was generally very unfriendly and not very helpful 2) You hear every sound - even from a room across the corridor. This ruined my sleep the first night. Apart from that coffee at breakfast was terrible. Still, there is something positive to say: Front desk area is... More

At our arrival I was forced to take an extremely small room for 3 people as "no big rooms were left"even though I had ordered for this from my country before going....Very rude and snobby receptionists that never smile, answer to good morning and speak very little if any English. The rooms were not clean at all and the cleaning woman didn't... Grand Tahir Hotel is located near the tram station, it is clean but rooms are tiny.. I have been to another 3 stars hotel before but rooms were better and with balcony. You can hardly move in the bathroom. Breakfast is fine, same every day. Some of the reception staff are friendly but not all as they don't speak English.... More
