A fantastic hotel all round: perfect location, excellent service, fast wifi, beautiful spacious rooms that are actually functional! Love the roof top garden and the panoramic views. We spent every night there, sipping champers and taking in the views. Please don't spoil it by bringing your children there.

Four Seasons, Kempinski, Ritz = amazing location and 'awe'... BUT walk dozens of yards to your room and pass tons of people before finding tranquility VERSUS a few steps to your room passing a personal welcome in an inviting space to relax... that being the Witt. Rooms at the Witt ask nothing of a grand hotel room in design and... More

The owner probably doesn't need another review about how amazing his hotel is but I promised after my stay in December of 2011 I would leave one. A little background, originally from Turkey he attended college in the New York area. His dream was to open a hotel in his home country. I must say he dreamed big because the... More

The Witt Istanbul Suites is a wonderful hotel that combines everything a visitor to Istanbul could want -- fantastic rooms, amazing service, super friendly staff and million dollar views. On top of all that, the hotel's location couldn't be better. The Tophane tram stop is a few minutes walk down the hill, Taksim Square, Istiklal Street and Galata Tower are... More

Witt suites Great location, only a short walk up a hill from Tophane M1 tram stop and three stops away from main attractions and walking distance to taksim square. Loved the interior design of the hotel, modern and sophisticated and loved being able to have enough space in our room to have guests over for pre-dinner drinks. Absolutely loved the... More

The Witt was amazing! Such a nice place to be based for our istanbul adventures, the staff were lovely and friendly with really helpful advice on where to have dinner and where to go shopping. The rooms were spacious and the showers incredible! Overall, a lovely place to stay! :)

The hotel is very well situated in Cihangir surrounded by bars and restaurants but relatively tranquil and out of the really touristy area. Our large suite was beautifully decorated and appointed and had a big balcony looking across to the Blue Mosque and old town. The staff were very professional and helpful and the breakfast well served. The hotel isn't... More

We loved everything about this luxury boutique hotel. ! Location, spacious suites with original designs, competent staff, friendly,(and beautiful!) owner. The receptionists offer excellent recommendations for restaurants and shows ( e.g. whirling dervishes ).The new roof-terrace has breathtaking views of Istanbul, especially at night.. This hotel is just perfect. I have stayed in 5-star hotels in more than 70 countries,... More

We stayed at the Witt Istanbul on three separate occasions (because Istanbul was our jump-off point) and were welcomed warmly by its small staff all three times. Although it is a boutique hotel, its rooms were spacious and very comfortable! All rooms had high-end kitchen amenities. The breakfast was filling (although the staff did not inform us that we could... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
