Unfortunately we stayed just 1 night at this beautiful hotel. Great breakfast, excellent staff, unbelievably comfortable sleep quality, very good location. Considering the price we paid for our room (just 50$ for 4 people) it was unbelievable. I'll definitely stay at Emine Sultan Hotel during my future visits to Istanbul

This gem of a hotel is in an excellent location only a stone's throw from to some of the top visitor attractions in Istanbul Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace, with friendly and helpful staff, though central it is still a very quite area, the only problem was our taxi driver found it hard to find, so make... When I was in Emine Sultan, I was very well treated by everyone since the owner to the conservation and cleaning staff. Mohammed in the lobby was a very special person, a kindly odd. Helped me with the tourist routes, indicating the means of transport, location of the best malls, tours, haman, markets, etc. as an example of the cordiality... More

I stayed there last year in June and enjoyed my stay thoroghly. Hotel was okay but the breakfast was excellent. And, more than everything, it was the staff that impressed me with their friendliness and hospitality. I would definitely want to return to that hotel whenever I am back in Istanbul. I want to thank Mehmet and two other staff... More

Excellent service-courteous, knowledgeable, very friendly staff who go out of the way to be helpful. Extremely comfortable beds, ample size room, spectacular shower. Exceptional Turkish breakfast with wonderful views from roof. Terrific location for walking to all tourist attractions in Sultanahmet, great restaurants and easy walk to tram and subway. Short taxi to Taksim or ferries. Excellent value for price.... More

Nice hotel, close to all the main sightseeings. Rooms are very small (tiny to be exact...so don't plan on doing your yoga routine there) and also the decor is a bit outdated but...helpful staff helps to level that up :-) Food is great but make sure to come early as the cook tends not to fill the plates after 9.30 (the... We did a thorough research and took a while before finally deciding to go with this hotel for our stay in Istanbul from 5/24/15 through 5/30/15 We definitely made the right decision. The front desk staff were amazing, these guys treated us like their best friends and were always eager to help. Our room was on the third floor and... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
