This charming little hotel is perfectly nestled in quaint neighborhood on a quiet street, less than 5 minutes walk to Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia. The area of Sultanahmet is filled with shops and restaurants. The Tram line is very close and a walk to the water's edge was under 10 minutes. The staff were helpful. Rooms were great value:...

We booked the dearest type of room in this hotel on the website but when we arrived we were given a room ( in an annex) in which the wallpaper was patched and even peeling at the joints. When we complained we were shown 2 other rooms (again both in the annex) but if these were the dearer rooms goodness...

What a beautiful city of Istanbul. For the first time you visit Istanbul you must be in the area of Sultanameth. Then it is easier to arrive at St. Sophia and the tokapi palace early in the morning. The Byzantium Hotel is in the sector which is the most tourist. The only drawback is the size of the room, it's...

Stayed at the Byzantium for 4 nights while visiting Istanbul. The rooms are very big and clean. We were 3 people and didn't feel crowded at all. Room has refrigerator and safe. The only weird thing was there was a strange smell in one room and the elevator also has a musty smell. They also offer a great buffet breakfast...

What made this place was the great staff, EVERYONE went out of there way to help. Room was small but clean and ok. Free wi-Fi in room a bonus. Great position for all tourist spots. One tip -- get a sea view room I would probably not be so enthusiastic if I was at the front of the hotel.

We were looking for a roomy and cozy space in the most splendid historical site in Istanbul. The suite at Byzantium Hotel and Suites proved to be a wonderful experience. The room was large enough to house a queen and a single bed in addition to a converted sofa double bed. The room was equipped with a refrigerator, a sink,...

Our local travel agent had chosen The Byzantium and I'd definitely recommend it to others. The location, right in the middle of Sultanahmet, just minutes from Topkapi, Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar was perfect. It's a 5 minute walk from all the attractions but in a cozy neighborhood. We paid a very reasonable rate through our travel agent....

Had a very nice light dinner on the terrace one evening, overlooking the Sea of Marmara. Tasty appetizer plate and a great bottle of wine. When you are out walking Akbiyik cad and each hotel/restaurant has a greeter claiming their place is the best, it's hard to choose. We went here on recommendation and it was good.
