The Hotel is located very close to the most touristic places and this is a good start. There is no need to use public means because restaurants and pubs are just there. The breakfast it's huge and vary, the sight of the terrace it's great. Regarding the accomodation the rooms are cheap and the restroom it's claustrofobic. If you have... More

I am on my 3rd week in Istanbul, I stayed at a 4 star hotel for 5 days as I wanted to look at rooms and hotels before moving to something less expensive. I went to another hotel and though it was clean it was small so I started to look at rooms at other local hotels and found this.... More

Booked for three nights for six. I already knew the location so was no mystery to me concerning location. Rooms were comfortable and were equipped for function and not luxury. Exactly as the cost would suggest. Rooms were spotless and cleaned very well every day. Breakfast was a running buffet which was more than adequate and had enough choice available... More

Stayed for 7 nights in May. Booked our room direct with the hotel and dealt with Karim by email who was very efficient and answered all our queries. Hotel is in Sirkeci on a busy street but we were given the choice of either a room at front or the back of the hotel. We chose to stay in one... More

This is a typical budget hotel--small, dark, dated rooms. On the positive side it is very reasonable ($35 for a single in April), well located for walking to Aya Sophia area, Galata Bridge, Bosphorus cruises, etc., very good buffet breakfast, and best of all the staff is most accommodating and helpful. If you don't plan on spending a lot of... More

Simple, but nice and clean hotel with friendly personnel and excellent location - it takes only 2 minutes to get to tram station and 5 minutes to walk to Sultanahmet area. There are lots of cafes and souvenir shops near it. Breakfast was the same each day, but the choice was quite good.

I did not choose Kafkas Hotel initially - I had been located in an excellent boutoque apartment hotel very close to Istiklal and Taksim square. Then the riots began, virtually on my doorstep and, whilst I never felt in danger from any of the protagonists, it became increasingly difficult to get to and from the hotel. Also, the novelty of... Very nice hotel in the center of the city. Nearby are Sightseeings, cheap and very good restaurants, clean, comfortable rooms standard. Affordable prices. Kudos to the staff for everything. Will definitely stay.
