The hotel is located in the Laleli part of town, which is not part of the touristy places in Istanbul. However, the area is not a bad part of town, and the hotel is about 50m from both a tram line taking you to the Blue mosque and Topkapi palace, and 50m from a metro station taking you to Taksim.... This is a great little hotel, in a fab location. Set on a very quiet side street, halfway between the Laleli University tram stop and the Veznecilar metro station, it's perfect for getting to Istanbul's main tourist sights. The hotel is a solid 3* quality: The nice breakfast room offers a hot & cold buffet. It's not a huge choice,... More

We are very happy with our choice. Laleli hotel is a great place to stay if you want to explore Istanbul. Great location,no need to use public transport as most of the attractions is a walking distance. Hotel itself is very relaxing, rooms are spotlesly clean. As well as reception, restaurant staff are efficient, helpful and genuine polite, make you feel welcone at... More

The hotel has all that is needed. All the basics are there. But there is one thing they get differentiated from others: Human factor. From Mr. Etem (Reception), down to the cleaning lady on the floor, all the guys there have a human touch, which gives you the feeling that you are in safety, you are a guest, and you... More

I think when you decide to book a 3 stars hotel, you can't expect it to be a super deluxe one. Rooms are a bit small, the elevator makes a big sound so u can hear it from your room clearly. The breakfast isn't that good. But on the other hand, staff are very helpful. They did arrange everything I... More

The location was perfect as it is located within the old city with tram stop only few minutes walk from hotel. The room was small but okey for a single traveler like me. The room soundproofing is horrible (in my room in the 3rd floor) as i could clearly hear the coversations and banging of doors outside/ hallways and vice... More

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
