The best thing about Hotel Uzbekistan is a very convenient location right in the center of Tashkent, practically at the steps of a subway station Amir Timur. The hotel is beautiful and comfortable. I occupied a room at 16th floor, which was obviously recently renovated, so the room was reasonably clean and in a decent shape. The room was big... More

The rooms of the hotel was not properly cleaned. The bed of the room were in very bed condition. The cover of the blanket were torn. The bulbs in the room were fused. Light was very poor. The house keeping staff is unable to understand English language.

This hotel is quite an experience! It is big and dark and slightly forbidding in a cozy Soviet-era way. The absolute best part was the aircon - despite it being 110 in the shade, the beast of a vent cranked out slightly chilled air 24-7 for which I was extremely grateful. The room was large but the furniture tragic. The... More

This hotel is very famous for Tashkent's wedding parties. On the night I stayed, there were 5 wedding parties at the hotel!!! It was fun to see couples strike a post at the lobby. Breakfast was nice. The room I stayed was spacious and clean, but shower was not strong. When I check-in, the reception didnt seem to have hospitality mind.... More

Having just flown from Bishkek I was looking forward to nice clean hotel room. The hotel is very run down . I was given a room in a far corner in the 13th floor . miles from the lift. The carpet was dirty, bathroom very small and shower area covered in mould and the door scrapped the toilet bowl. At... More

I got a deal on Booking.com for $62 a night, and so I decided to stay at this property and give it a try. The hotel is architecturally stunning - a great example of Soviet modernism. The location is optimal for tourists, as it sits near Amir Timur square and as it is walking distance from all the major sights... More

It's a huge intourist-style tower block that can't be described as welcoming or friendly. Just because of the size. And it hasn't been looked after - it's all a bit grubby and tired. I was way up on the 16th floor but you don't get a great view because their is this enormous lattice of concrete beams between you and... More

The hotel was constructed in 1974 I must say that the hotel's location is simply perfect but the management is not taking care of timely renovation the property. The showers were not working properly, the bathtub was leaking and the water flowed into my room. The rooms are huge as per the old construction. The counter staff is not helpful... More
