This hotel is very big, it looks a bit of an eyesore from the outside, however it is better inside, there is a small cafe selling snacks, tea and coffee, it has a quaint gift shop. I found the staff very helpful. The rooms were ok, nothing wonderful, a bit shabby I would say. The breakfast was a buffet, and... More

The impressive building of the Hotel Uzbekistan is situated in the spiritless new center of town. Around are only squares, boulevards and styleless modern buildings, no restaurants or shops. The rooms are acceptable, but nothing more than that, the airco does not always work well. The personnel treats the visitors with disdain, service and friendliness are unknown concepts. The food... If you think you are spending money, don't prefer this hotel. The rooms are not good at all. The Continental Buffet breakfast is not good at all and the service is not good. The room AC's donot work. Prefer to carry your umbrellas as it usually rains. Also donot prefer to get your USD converted to there currency as you... More

having read some reviews I was expecting a more dated Hotel than we found. We were pleasantly surprised as our room was modern, clean and spacious with a great view. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast more than sufficient. Hotel staff were obliging and spoke English. Good lifts and nice restaurant on the top floor. The unusual facade of this... More

I stayed in the hotel because it was in the right location for my business there. It was also good value. Many of the other reviews I would agree with. The carpets are grim and should be replaced. The plumbing is a bit temperamental but it didn't stop me showering or washing when I needed. The bed was comfortable and... More

I stayed at the beginning and end of a tour in May and was more impressed with this hotel than expected given some previous reviews and the hotel's appearance. The rooms were spacious, the bed comfortable with clean sheets, the water hot, and a great view over Amir Timur park (if your room is at the front). OK, so the... More

The building is OK, the location is good, rooms and suites are big and nicely proportioned. Yes, it is a Soviet style property, still it could work. Which it does not (especially air conditioning which did not work at all in the room). The staff is just not interested. Not even a little bit. Bellboys tend to congregate in one... More

This hotel is from the soviet times, renovated but not nearly enough, the rooms smell an awful cigarette taste, the service is very much below average ,and the reception is not nearly professional, the room has a tv that is also probably not much later than soviet times , I regret every dollar i spent to stay in this hotel. Perfectly located in a very nice area of modern Tashkent, with big and clean rooms, free wi-fi and a bar/restaurant at the 17th top floor with magnificent views of the city. Perfect place for a cold beer or a glass of wine when returning after hours of sightseeing ! On a 12 day trip along the Silk Road in different... More

It is a massive hotel located directly on the Emir Timur square, which makes is a convenient location for tourists. Many tour groups go there (saw tons of French and German tourists there, but also Uzbeks). We got a room on the 16th floor with a great view. It was large and modern, with a king size bed. Free wifi... More
