4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

A wonderful boutique hotel with a very appealing, contemporary, minimalist decor scheme. We only stayed for one night. Our departure time was too early to sample their Sri Lankan breakfast (which starts at 8am) but the cooked-to-order bacon and eggs was very satisfactory. Great to have four pillows in the double-room, something which is not always a given at this... More

We stayed here 2 nights. We're planning to stay at galle face hotel but the pope was in Colombo so no rooms were available. Raj the manager was a star, helped us with bookings, directions, a car and a driver. The room upstairs was vey comfortable so able to watch the cricket in comfort. The Sri lankan breakfasts were delicious... More

Unfortunately, we stayed there only one night on our way back home. I adore the decor of the hotel, it is gorgeous and every detail is worked out, which is not common in Colombo in this price range. The hotel is clean and well kept. The room was spacious with a huge bathroom. The lodge is located next to Cinnamon... More

Situated at the end of a quiet cul de sac in the centre of the city the location is perfect. The 'U' shape building is surrounded by trees, providing a setting for a charming and tranquil water garden plus delightful terraces to enjoy simple, but superb meals which are cooked to order using fresh ingredients. We wanted to try the... More

My husband and I stayed at Lake Lodge late December 2014 for 2 nights. We arrived early in the morning after a long flight. We did not have to wait long for our room to be made available to us. The location of the hotel is at the end of a residential dead end street which was a nice escape... More

Best designed hotel of our three weeks stay in Sri Lanka. Felt like a proper boutique hotel, not just in name. A nice little retreat after sight seeing in Colombo all day. Central but in a quiet spot. Good food, cocktails, friendly efficient service, spotlessly clean, big shower, wifi, lovely beds - a great choice. We stayed in the garden... More

Conveniently located with attentive and polite staff. Free wifi which was great. The Sri Lankan breakfast was fantastic. No request was too difficult for Rizwan and his team to handle. We loved our stay here.Very slick hotel. Amazing, contemporary design.

My wife and I stayed for three nights at the end of December 2014. A small and very friendly hotel which does not appear to be in one of the most desirable locations, but otherwise, has a lot to recommend it. We used room #13 called the Garden Suite which is separate from the main building and has its own... More

Our family of seven (AND a one-year old) stayed at Lake Lodge in December. The property is located right next to Beira Lake, so it's really in the heart of the city. The approach road is a quiet tree-lined lane by a football field. The staff were warm and friendly and gave us an entire wing to ourselves. They have... More

been there with family. The rooms are certainly way to small for a familiy (two small kids), even though we were told they would be big enough. The view outside the window was prisonlike, looking at the wall of the neighbour house in 3m distance. On a positive note: the place is an oasis in Colombo, quite and very clean.... More
