We stayed here for our first two nights in Sri Lanka, arriving in the early hours straight off the plane! We were travelling with our four children, aged 5-13, and Casa Susana could not have been a better place to stay to bridge the gap between home and travelling.
The interior is beautifully designed - a real treat for me...

We arrived in Colombo late at night and our cab pulled up outside the Galle Face Court building (directly opposite the Galle Face Hotel). From the outside the building looks an odd location for a guesthouse and there are no signs for Casa Susana (even one you get to the door at the end of the corridor!). However once welcomed...

When I arrived in Colombo, driven through the deserted streets from the Airport ..save for the homeless..and arrived at Casa Susana in the early hours of the morning, to be greeted by the grumpiest security man, and the most reluctant lift driver ( both of whom had good reason for their moods) and was ushered down a long dark corridor...

Casa Susana is a good option if you're staying in Colombo. It's bright, clean and tastefully decorated. It has nice large windows and high ceilings. The staff is fairly warm and helpful. The location is next to the sea and is right by all the nice, major hotels so you can pay to swim in their pools. FYI don't be...
