Anand and Amar are fantastic hosts. They both have lived in the US for 5+ years and are completely fluent in English. They helped me to setup multiple excursions into the countryside with top guides, the hostel is a great price, and the accommodations are clean, comfortable, and conducive to meeting other travelers. Great central location for exploring the museums,... More

we arrived late at night and the hostel was able to arrange great transport for our family. Facilities are basic but staff responsive (eg. hot water was repaired whilst we stayed there). Breakfast available is egg toast and some cereal and toast. Friendly staff and convenient place for big tour groups on a budget. They can help with taxis

Spent a week at Zaya Two late June but before the busy Nadaam festival. The organisation by Anand, the cleanness of the hostel, the security and the friendship were all exceptional. Exceptionally reliable and accommodating Toilet and hot shower "modern" and very clean as is the entire hostel (though only approximately one bathroom between each four rooms Thank you to... More

I stayed in Zaya One and Zaya Three and can highly recommend both. Cleanest, most pleasant place I've stayed in UB so far and very good value. Best breakfast too - filter coffee and eggs! Really friendly, helpful staff that make you feel very welcome. Both my rooms were spacious, quiet and comfortable - perfect to recover after a some... More

We had a great stay at Zaya during our recent trip to UB. The owner and staff are very friendly. They gave a lot of good tips to arrange for tours infringement UB. The place is clean. The laundry prices are not expensive. Internet is fast and reliable. Would definitely recommend staying here.

I only had one night in Ulan Baatar and I stayed at the Zaya Hostel. I got picked up from the train station by driver organised by the hostel. The hostel itself was very clean and tidy (remember to take your shoes off) and the staff were incredibly effective in organising a trip out to the Chingiss Khan statue that... More

Zaya's hostel is located 5 minutes away from the State Department Store, so it's a good place to explore the city center and easy to find your way home at night. First door has a code and you have to ring the bell to come in at day at night, however there is always somebody to open the door. Didn't... More

My experience at Zaya's was a little mixed, with pros and cons contributing to my feelings about this place. The first issue I had was the transport from the train station. i've lived in Mongolia long enough to be able to get myself to and from places, but when I replied to the offer of transport and they said they... We stayed in Zaya 2 before and after a tour. Great location, close to shops and restaurants. Rooms are clean and plenty of room, and the booking process was seamless. We booked a pickup from the train with them as well, no problems. They were pretty busy when we stayed, lots of walkins looking for a bed, so suggest you... More

We stayed in both Zaya's 1 and 2 before and after our trip to the South Gobi. Both are near to each other and well located either side of Peace Avenue. Both entrances to the apartment blocks are scruffy but once inside it's very clean and well furnished. Anand was really helpful is arranging tours and transfers between the train... More
