We stayed here at the beginning and end of a two week cycling tour so not sure what the cost was but the hotel wasn't busy, though there was a wedding on the first night so avoid staying on that side of the building. The rooms are massive with large bathrooms. Facilities are somewhat tired with broken electrical fittings and... More

The building is quite a sight. All white columns and wedding cake looking. Which was funny because it hosted a wedding on the second night we were there. Altogether an OK hotel, but there were holes in the bathroom exposing plumbing and the shower was a little hard to use. The plus was that it had very robust toilet paper!... More

- We stayed two nights in this hotel before our 20 day Big Loop trip and four nights afterwards - all organised by the toor operator. - The hotel building and its dining room are really Grand and the dining room decor is impressive. Just like it was imported from Europe a few centuries ago. But unfortunately this is as... More

An older hotel that was not real busy but provided good service at a reasonable price, at least when getting an organisation negotiated rate. Room was large and bed comfortable and sheets and towels clean. Pillow a bit hard, but that is common. Desk okay for work and internet by wire was good. One morning water was off but they... More

We had a split stay in this hotel, the first on arrival and the second on departure, the hotel is conveniently located, the rooms are spacious and clean, but, along with some, let's say, disadvantages, such as elevator out of order (only during our first stay), no warm water (both stays), we had an unplesant experience at the first check-out:... After reviewing the options in depth as much as possible, we decided that this hotel would best fit our needs at a reasonable price. Having returned and seen the "competition," I think this is still true. The more highly rated hotels in town are much more expensive without providing much additional value. The rooms at the Continental were spacious, but... More

stayed here 2 nights (14+22 August 2013). On the plus - fairly convenient location with a10 min walk to restaurants and city square etc (and will be handy to the new amusement park opening opposite). Rooms are generously sized, clean and comfortable, and the meals are good and reasonably priced. On the negative - there was a wedding reception on... More

We were a group of 6 people from India staying at this hotel recently.... the property at first look is amazing, nicely done interior and exterior of the hotel, rooms are pretty big and spacious, and so are the bathrooms.... apart from this, amenities are very basic, no A/C, only heater, No drinking water in the room.... there is a... I tell ya, I've been to 4 hotels in UB and they all have 1 or more major issue. For the continental hotel, the problem is the main ballroom. At least 5 evening of my stay they had an event in the ballroom, which in itself is ok. But what they do is have very large amps/speakers and the sound... More
