We loved our cozy ger and really appreciated Moo-ghee who would come by each evening to see if we wanted the fire lit. We liked the food here. The bathrooms were kept clean. It was noisy at night when we were there with carpenters working until 2 in the morning. We found out later that they were expecting a large... More

Mongolia is a breathtaking, beautiful, friendly country of wide open spaces and big skies! All of this and more at the Steppe Nomads Camp which was the last stop on our tour of Mongolia. The staff were so helpful and smiley, the gers were comfy and the restaurants and bathroom facilities spotless. Me and my new found besties on tour... More

The resort is environmental friendly. It uses solar power, and leaves little light at night. The food is very traditional. You can taste authentic Mongolian food not to mention the food is delicious. You've got to try its lamb, tender and juicy. The food is even better than some famous restaurants in Ulanbatuur. The barbeque setting at riverside is quite... More

Spent one night and about a day and a half there. The complex was generally clean though we had a few uninvited bug guests in our ger (had to cover the chimney area with some tissues). The staff was very kind though English was limited. The food was quite disappointing--for that enviornment was expecting lamb and other traditional meats served... More

We enjoyed our stay for 3 days. Big camp, lots of different activities, average food and nice people. Some of us booked a trip riding horses during a whole day. This was really cool! Remember to bring a jacket/sweater as it can get pretty cold during the evening.

This camp gets no points for stylish restaurant, or for a polished marketing facade. It is what it is, which is really good: clean gers, very helpful staff (many seem to be students from UB studying tourism management), good food (part of full board), very nice grassland steppe setting. Reasonably priced chilled beers available in the fridge in the restaurant.... More

This is a nice ger camp. The camp and building are clean and well maintained. Staff people are friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the service at the breakfast buffet. Despite there only being a reasonable number of clients for breakfast, food ran out very rapidly and was not replenished.

The gently sloped grassy plains of the Mongolian Steppes are just outside the warmth of the well heated gurr. Recommend this stop in Mongolia if travelling on the train. A chance to see the countryside, look for rare argali sheep by horseback or drift gently down the river on a raft. Friendly, helpful service and plenty of food (would have... More

We had one night here and hit a bit of a storm so experienced winter with snow. It looked fantastic, and the ger was certainly warm enough with the stove going. Staff were very nice as they all are in these places, happy to bring you tea and stoke your fire in the night if you want. The food was... More

This ger camp was the highlight of our 35 day Trans Siberian trip! We booked independently through Selena Travel, with transfers included from UB. Most of the guests seem to arrive with a driver/guide and stayed a night or two, where as we stayed 4 nights . There was a book in each ger explaining all the activities and the... More
