Beau Rivage is located just across from the esplanade along the Mekong River, overlooking Thailand on the other side. At night, food stalls open up along the length of this walkway, immediately across, but noise was not an issue. From here, it is an easy walk to downtown Vientianne, however, some of the main attractions are on the other side... More

This has become my first choice of hotel when working in Vientiane. The few rooms and unconventional interior always make me feel very much at home. They even have a very well equipped mini bar, a water boiler, complimentary coffee/tee and water, and dishes and cutlery if you want to bring take away or prepare simple food in your room.... More

I have stayed at the Beau Rivage Mekong Hotel on four occasions now and each time it has been an excellent experience. Every thing is taken care of so when I was very green about the ears with this country the owner Gordon was there to help me out. This included a taxi from the airport meeting me with a... More

Although not in the budget category it was still very good value for the quality of the room /food. Great location and helpful, staff and... More

A good value mid range hotel on the outskirts of the city area. Clean & good views of the Mekong from delux room on the second floor (all pink). Gordon, the Australian owner, is very helpful and had a number of great recommendations on what to see/do in Vientiane. A great location & an easy walk along the river to... More

We arrived early evening and found our room to be superior. Gordon, the owner, was very helpful getting us settled and suggested dinner across the street from the hotel at any of the many small restaurants set up at night along the Mekong River. Breakfast was in the adjoining restaurant/bar. All employees were friendly and helpful. Overall, a great place... More
