A good value mid range hotel on the outskirts of the city area. Clean & good views of the Mekong from delux room on the second floor (all pink). Gordon, the Australian owner, is very helpful and had a number of great recommendations on what to see/do in Vientiane. A great location & an easy walk along the river to... More

We arrived early evening and found our room to be superior. Gordon, the owner, was very helpful getting us settled and suggested dinner across the street from the hotel at any of the many small restaurants set up at night along the Mekong River. Breakfast was in the adjoining restaurant/bar. All employees were friendly and helpful. Overall, a great place... More

I returned the the Beau Rivage after many years away and was happy to see it still has it unique charm. If you are in Vientiane and you want a nice boutique hotel. This is the place. The Aussie owner Gorder is a lovely guy who will do anything for you. He has a great little team of trustworthy and... More

Good hotel well run by an amenable Aussie. excellent location right on the Mekong and a fabulous selection of 'pop up' restaurants right opposite which give lots of eating choices. Free bike hire which is great for pootling around the city, great sunset view over the Mekong river. the only issue is that you are limited to 2 small cups... More

This is the second time I have stayed at Beau Rivage. In Jan 2014, my husband and I stayed for 4 nights at the tail end of a SE Asia tour. In Dec of 2014, I stayed there as a solo traveler. Beau Rivage is a lovely hotel in a great location right on the Mekong and within walking distance... More

stayed at this place for a couple of nights whilst visiting Vientiane, it's reasonably well placed along river front and had a great restaurant right next to it. Food and drink reasonable. Our host was a chatty and friendly Aussie, lots of local knowledge and very helpful. The room was very "Boutique" modern in style and for two (straight) male... More

I stayed in this hotel at Room 102 and had an accident because of its poorly planned and constructed shower room. I had two large bruises in between my thighs and hurt my rib cage when i slipped after taking a shower. No towel rack, no rail to hold, no slip-free rubber mat, It's accident-prone! unless you don't take a... More

The hotel manager (Gordon) offered me so much help and gave me so much useful information, he made my stay in Vientiane a very comfortable and enjoyable one. The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, with a great view of the garden, and very comfortable. The attached restaurant (Spirit House) serves great breakfast and local food for lunch and... More
