Checked in without having much of the intention to spend time in the room as I was planning to hit the numerous cafes around town and work from there. The room won me over immediately and that plan changed. I had the room directly over the reception with a view on the garden and its tree so close you can... More

We reached the hotel towards the end of a long SE Asia trip so we were quite impressed by the location of the hotel and its quirkiness - sorry, that should be 'boutique sensibilities'! The welcome was warm, the room equally so but the aircon was up to the job. We overlooked the Mekong River and could see Thailand across... More

We have been coming to this little hotel for years, my husband stays for long periods of time as he goes there for work. My son and I join him for the pleasure and to get some rest from noisy Hanoi. This hotel is really different form what you can get normally in South East Asia in the sense that... More

The hotel is sits very close to Mekong river and close to the city center and has many restaurants and bars along the same street as the Beau Rivage. At night, restaurants set up tables and chairs for al fresco dining by the riverside, which is right across the hotel. The Chao Anouvong monument is within walking distance from the... More

When you arrive at the Beau Rivage it is like coming to a second home. The welcome is warm and cosy. The rooms each have their character and real charm for the whole place has been carefully thought through and is so well maintained and very original. This last visit was not my first, and I hope it will not... More

I called mr. Gordon (it's the owner i guess) just the day before I came about a room and he got me one and also arranged me a taxi-pickup. Gordon if very helpful about everything I asked him. Helped me about the Visa, arranged Tuktuks for me and made sure that the Tuktukdriver wont rip me off which I appreciate.... More

Great opposite the Mekong, and while the water is not so close, the stalls in the evening along the river bank are excellent for great food and outdoor atmosphere. The Hotel is comfortable, trendy, we enjoyed the room, well laid out, and nice view. The Spirit House restaurant next door is excellent, had a delicious meal one evening, breakfasts good,... More

Really great place, location is excellent, rooms are just a bit of class, really felt at home here. Also Gordon the owner is so helpful and really goes out of his way for his guests (thank you). He really gave us some great advice and recommendations for the next couple of steps on our travels Just a great place 😀

Beau Rivage is located just across from the esplanade along the Mekong River, overlooking Thailand on the other side. At night, food stalls open up along the length of this walkway, immediately across, but noise was not an issue. From here, it is an easy walk to downtown Vientianne, however, some of the main attractions are on the other side... More
