Stayed here last night, the location is awesome, short walk to the Mekong Riverside Park (exit hotel and turn right and cross the road) and Wat Mixay (exit hotel and turn right then left on the main road you'll see it straight away). Lots of restaurants and cafes along the main road and the night market is held there in... More

Great location close to the riverside, night market at the end of the street. Easy to walk everywhere, and lots of nearby choices to eat. Rooms are clean and bed was firm but comfortable. Had a balcony but no where to sit, pity as it was great to observe passing street life. Breakfast is fairly ordinary with limited choice.

Had a wonderful stay at the Lao Orchid. Spent three nights in the clean property. The staff take great care of this property. The location is perfect for sight seeing and walking around the center of the city. Everything is nearby. Tours/car service can easily be arranged through the desk. The breakfast is nice, and included Asian and Western dishes.... More

Very nice small hotel; in the centre of the city. Rooms were good size, beds comfortable. The air con was okay; could of been cooler, but no big deal! Bathroom was big , with large shower cubicle but the electric shower was totally inadequate. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Staff were very friendly. We have recommended to... More

Quaint hotel close to the Mekong riverfront and right next to the night market. Rooms are very spacious, clean and well and decorated with good taste. Staff was very kind and I bought at the reception a ticket for a bus to Vang Vien much cheaper then from other places. The buffet breakfast was great ( they even had cheese....so unusual... More

We chose this hotel unexpectedly. The result was good. Lao Orchid hotel is very nice and clean. Its close to the market, and Mekong River. Breakfast was good also. The only one point we want to complain is the aircondition. It made noises and we hardly slept. All in all, it was a good stay and we will come back... More

After staying in hostels and some poor hotels, the Lao Orchid was well worth the money. The rooms are clean and very well put together. Service was great. Buffet breakfast was awesome. If you're looking for some recuperation after living the backpacker life, this is a great spot to do it. Also, I could see the night market from my... More

I stayed here for one night with my fiancée and would highly recommend it. The hotel is modern and clean with spacious rooms and is very well located in the centre of the tourist area. The breakfast was excellent with a good range of continental and Asian dishes. We found the staff very helpful. We arrived very early due to... More

This hotel is located very close to Mekhong River about 500-600 meters of distance and also have many restaurant in that area, reasonable price and quiet by night. By night at Mekhong river side, it has a night market with variety goods.

Lao Orchid was the last of many hotels we stayed in all over Laos. It was by far, the best. Of course it was the most expensive, but at $70 USD, it was well worth it. The room had a king size bed, was very clean, a decent bathroom with an actual shower stall. Not many hotels in Laos have... More
