We stayed here before crossing over the border into Thailand, we arrived slightly earlier than check in but they quickly got all of our rooms ready so that we could all check in. My husband and I stayed at Mali Namphu for 2 nights while in Vientiane - the hotel was very clean with attentive staff and a lovely breakfast included in the price, especially as the courtyard setting for breakfast is delightful. Mali Namphu is in a great location, pretty much in the centre... but then again Vientiane is small so most hotels are in a decent spot. Everything in Laos has gone up in price... this place is a good option. We paid $US25 a night for a good clean double room. more
