I have stayed there around 3 nights, and I have a problem with a manager when I checked out out,the price was low up, they did not inform to me. It is very rude, I am not impressed what they did with me. On the other hand, I am really happy with local employees and people. More

Stayed one night at Don Chan Plaza. The rooms are run-downed. The sink is marked. Only one towel provided (no hand towel). Weak water pressure, and only warm water available. Not close to city center (middle of nowhere). Staff speaks very little English. They charge even if you make a local phone call at the reception to clarify the registration. More

Went there for a conference in September 2010. This hotel does not have any particular charm and is not in the centre of town. The room was pretty dusty and not all that great for the price. If I go back to Vientiane, I will probably try to stay in another hotel. The food was average at best. Staff was... More

As with most hotels they have to be cost conscious and this showed in the breakfast room and at checkout. In this case it is the early breakfaster, who gets a feed. As serving dishes were emptied, there were delays in replacing or were simply not replaced at all. Also there was only 1 person on the checkout desk and... More

My first time staying and the Don Chan, although the group I was with has stayed there before and the hotel did a great job both times. I arrived at night and was amazed at the multi tasking and service of the front desk staff. Although there was only one staff member, he promptly acknowledged everyone as they came up... More

Don Chan Palace is quite a new hotel in Vientiane, situates on Mekong River across from Nongkhai provice of Thailand. You can enjoy good view of Mekong river from your balcony so I recommend the river side room. The hotel offers decent breakfast and there is a good Chinese restaurant where you can have quite good Chinese food (but I... More

The hotel is the tallest building in Vientiane...and has seen better days. Rooms were comfortable and everything was in working order, however, facilites were rather dated. Hotel towels were thin and rather worn, breakfast buffet spread was limited, the pool looked creepy and not maintained (water was murky and green). The Business center was really basic and most times unmanned,... More

Just stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip, as it was booked for me by my business partner in Laos. At best, the hotel was serviceable but I expected more from the largest hotel in Vientiane. The swimming pool water was green and the gym was not much to speak of. There is also a nightclub in the... More
