Great location! Staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. Everything is pretty much within walking distance. For a few beers try the Stick Fingers (directly opposite) or the Hare and Hound just up the road! more

The website I used inferred there was airport pickup. I ended up taking a taxi. I have stayed twice for business at the Tai-Pan and have been very pleased. The location cannot be beat, the front desk staff are very friendly, the in-room internet connection works well, I get enough bottled water, etc. Airport transfers are timely, efficient, etc. I have never tried the breakfast, preferring to go down the block for a Vietnamese breakfast... more

I stayed at the Tai Pan for 1 week while in Vientiane for work. The room was very clean with all the basic amenities, such as cable (with channels in English, very important), strong AC, minibar, etc. There was also high-speed internet available for $3 per day, which was extremely convenient (though there are many internet cafes in the area).... more
