I would love to recommend this hotel based on the staff/cleanliness/price but unfortunately the noise outweighed all of these positive factors. My wife and I stayed on the third floor and out of a four night stay barely had a good night sleep. If it was the drum sessions from the temple nearby it was the paper thin walls or... More

The hotel is a JV of Thai and Local. It is a small hotel consists about 50 rooms and being rated as three (3) stars. As the hotel is new, so it is clean and furnishing is good. The air-con room is spacious, clean complete with LED TV, Fridge, Coffee maker. The bathroom is clean and with supply of toothbrush,... More

This hotel is easy enough to find although slightly away from the city centre, although I did walk there once in about 20 minutes. There is small amount of parking if you have a car. The check in was welcoming and friendly. The room was well presented (aside a couple small maintaince issues that didnt affect the stay). The bathroom... More

We stayed here for 2 days and 1 night because it's near and 8-10 minutes walk to the Royal Thai Embassy. This hotel is just good for over night purposes not for long stay because it's a little bit far from the mekong river side which is beautiful during night time. The staffs were not much kind or helpful and... More

We stayed here when we first arrived in Vientiane because we saw pretty good reviews on Agoda. Wrong. We arrived and the staff was super unfriendly, almost as if they didn't care to help us. Once we finally got to our room, it reeked of smoke. I'm sure the sheets were clean, but they were badly stained which was kind... More

About 3km out of the very small city centre. Hotel staff are very unhelpful, seemed confused about our booking and gestured us to our rooms without speaking much of a word. Told us they were out of maps without much checking. Worst, when we asked for help to translate for tuk tuk drivers for the city centre, staff tried to... More

We didn't have a reservation so we just went straight to the hotel and asked for a room. The girl in the front desk told as that hotel is full for tonight and it was very strange because they still had a lot of rooms available in agoda.com. So we asked again, and she still was saying that they are... More

Don't be fooled by the small lobby and simple building design. Lao golden hotel is actually a very nice place to stay for those who prefers a clean good quiet place with reasonable price. It is located near the consulate of Thailand so its a very good location for people who has visa business as well. FYI: I normally book... More

Let's go with the positive, my room was clean, well appointed and comfortable. The shower was ok. The Domestic staff are very good, fast and friendly with a 4 hour turnaround on my washing returned clean and dry and priced very reasonably by weight rather than per item. The hotel is not well located for the Western Visitor, it is... More

The hotel is a bit far from city center (where in full honesty there is not much to see). It s about 10 minutes from it by tuk tuk. The common areas of the hotel ain't great at all, but the rooms are VERY comfortable with hot water, cable tv, air-con, etc... Not much to say about the staff, they... More
