We stayed 3 nights. I'd agree with most other reviews. The hotel is typical of large 3-4 star SE Asia hotels. Nicely furnished clean room with comfortable bed. Good buffet breakfast. Nice sized pool (essential after a days sight seeing in very hot Vientaine). The location is good for being able to walk to most sights/restaurants. We had a small... more

We stayed three nights and were pleased with the accommodations, service and location. The buffets were up to western standards. In comparison to other lodging in Laos the LP offers upper end lodging but the prices reflect this. more

Was in lovely Laos for work. Wasn't expecting much but was expecting more than this dark, dank, dusty hotel. Smoky lobby. Room was dirty with old fixtures, dodgy carpet, stains, etc. Others had a cleaner room than I did. Ok breakfast though had to wait 10+ minutes for coffee or tea each day. Did have a good and cheap massage... more

I stayed at this hotel for four nights starting on November 16th. My wife and I stayed in the Superior room for $140US/night (single was $120/night). Like many reviewers have said this hotel is a large hotel that is of North American quality. This hotel would be of comparable standard and quality as the Marriott in downtown Pittsburgh or the... more

Stayed at the Laos Plaza for 1 night in Vientiane Ok, as many have mentioned, its another large Hotel. Rooms ok neat tidy large. Not much in the way of atmosphere at the Hotel. I believe the Bakery in the foyer is very good, but did not actually try. Breakfast was typical Buffett style and god selection. Service was good,... more

I recently spent 3 nights at the Lao Plaza with some degree of reluctance after reading some of the reviews. Contrary to these however I found the Hotel overall to be of a good standard and excellent value for money. We paid USD85 per night including breakfast. It is reasonably well appointed, the staff are obliging and polite, it has... more

We selected the Lao Plaza from the Agoda website as it seemed one of the better hotels in Vientiane. from the outside it did have the look of a 5 star hotel but when we checked in we were offered a dismal room at the back of the hotel overlooking the air con units. The room was small and dark... more

This high rise five star hotel is well located in the centre of Vientiane and has a vaguely Chinese feel. It’s the place where overseas VVIPs stay, as evidenced by their many photos on the walls. We stayed two nights in a well-equipped duplex suite. The buffet breakfast and dinner were good, with eclectic choices. There’s also a good pool... more
