Hotel located 10-15 minutes drive from the airport and 5-7 minutes tuk tuk ride from the centre of town. Large, clean, comfortable, basic rooms, if not a little bit dated. TV and kettle supplied. A good selection of food and fruit available at breakfast time. Hotel staff very friendly. If you are looking for a reasonable priced hotel, this is... more

There are 2 very different standards of rooms at this Hotel. We stayed in the standard basic room which was very shabby. The carpet was old and stained and the bathroom was grey and very tired looking. That is all ok if you pay a cheap price for the room but in fact we didn't get it at a discounted... more

Hotel is a member of the world-wide chain. Accomodations were comfortable and a good value. It was the best hotel mattress I've had in recent memory (including many US business trips). Restaurant was good, but there are several very good places "downtown." I walked to the old city center, but the hotel provides transportation. I was a little surprised how... more

Was bitten by mosquitos because there were no screens and the A/C didn't work. Was given a room next to the lift--and it sounded very sick--for the 2 nights I was there. No breakfast was included and the staff DO need a little english. more

We (parents, 2 kids, mother-in-law) stayed in Novotel Jan 26-28, 2009. It was not our first choice, but the others were full. I booked through the Novotel.com web site, which did not make it obvious how to book rooms with different numbers of adults. It did not insist on a credit card guarantee except for late arrivals, so I skipped... more

Date - 7-8 January 2009 We are from St-Petersburg, Russia. We have just come back from Vientiane - Novotel Hotel was really marvellous, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds, wide range of dishes in a restaurant. Nothing lacked there! Maybe it was after 2 days in Phousi Hotel in Luang Prabang where the shower was out of order, there was... more

We stayed at the Novotel for 3 nighs. It's sort of OK but with a couple of niggles. Firstly my room was on the front and overlooked one of the main routes in and out of the city. It seemed to be only single glazed and there was a huge problem with traffic noise during the day and until late... more

Although the Novatel is about 20 minutes walk from the city centre we decided that this was a good thing because this meant we had plenty of exercise daily and it was in a less crowded street. Our room on the third floor was comfortable and clean, the breakfast menu offered a wide range of foods and the resturant meals... more

Our first stay was booked via asiahotels website and cost $85pn inc. breakfast. Nice size room, though I had to request a chair and table to use my laptop. Realising there was no wifi, due to my misunderstanding their website (I always select only wifi-equipped accommodation, providing it exists) the hotel lent me a network cable, as I hadn't brought... more
