This hotel is not located near the city center and therefore its room rates are lower. It takes about 20 minutes from the airport by taxi. The main building is 7 story high and most of the rooms in this building have been refurbished. The rear of this building has a courtyard which doubles as a parking lot. The far... More

Front desk people are neither helpful nore do they understand anything in English. The only female worker, who does is not always available. Our room was clean but not ant-free. The room where breakfast is served is cooled down - one more reason to get out quickly - the other one is the quality of the breakfast. Besides, the hotel... More

I was recommended this by a colleague but only found out after that he stayed in the twice-as-expensive rooms above. Absolutely awful hotel. Internet did not work, front desk was extremely difficult to communicate with, and my room had two cockroaches. Late at night, men bring young women loudly home from the karaoke bar nearby and smoke in the hallways.... More

I have a long list about why not to stay here. So I'll start with the only plus points I can think of, it's close to the Thai embassy, so if you need a visa extension it's close. Secondly the only woman on reception is polite and actually tries to help. That is it though! The rooms smell, we had... More

This hotel which attracts a lot of Lao tour groups is the sort of hotel where its more expensive rooms are not supplied with toilet paper. That may tell you all you need to know about it. But there's more. The showers inevitably flood the bathrooms each and every time you use it. Deal with it. Breakfast is a sad... More

But there's no place in Vientiane you are really need to go. The weather was terrible when I was there. But for what I paid at this hotel, I have absolutely no complaints. It is very good value for the money. The breakfast isn't much. For example, the concept of hot eggs has not reached Laos. But when I asked... More

La Ong Dao Hotel turned out to be quite near Wattay International Airport, Vientiane and it took a mere 30 minutes to reach it via the road alongside the great Mekong River. It is situated towards to the southerly direction from the Airport and you will have to go through the "City" or rather the town of Vientiane. One would... More
