This was a good hotel although very expensive for Laos. For westerners it is an easy place to stay, as most of the staff speak good English and everything works OK (except the TV in our room-but that was soon fixed). We stayed for several nights in a Salana suite room, top of the range. It was nice, although would... More

I came here with parents for the last night of our trip in Laos after visiting Luang Prabang & Vang Viang earlier. The hotel was located right in the center and near Mekong river. It's easy to grab a Tuk Tuk & go around the city from here. The room was clean & spacious. The staff was very attentive .... More

An absolutely gorgeous boutique Hotel with fluent English speaking reception. My husband and I stayed for a week and loved it. Every person working at the hotel was friendly, courteous and obliging. I can not say a bad thing about this hotel. The location was ideal for strolling down to the night market and the food stalls were plentiful. If... More

We went to the Salana Boutique Hotel in May 2014 and we stayed there for 2 nights in a suite. The suite was really nice with a jacuzzi in the bathroom and everything was really clean. Breakfast in the hotel was great with lot of choice and around 3 pm you can enjoy a free cup of thea with some... More

My husband and I stayed three nights and picked the hotel because of it's number 1 rating on trip advisor. It was at the high end of the price range that we've been spending on our 7 weeks in SE Asia thus far so perhaps my expectations were a bit too high. The hotel is well situated and the common... I usually stay at Hotel Khamvongsa but decided to try Salana. The staff is kind but my frustration over transport ruined my visit. When I asked them to call a taxi they refused saying it was against policy and I could only use one of their (very expensive) cars which were unavailable. Regardless of whether a car is available they... More

Big clean rooms with nice breakfast. A bit more formal than I like but nothing wrong. Prices a bit high. Computer's printer did not work and internet connection a bit sketchy. Recommend staying here nonetheless

The hotel is a hidden gem. It is very beautiful, and the common areas are stylishly decorated with very high quality finishings and art. Clearly it was designed by someone with great taste. The elegant styling continues into the rooms which are nicely decorated, and the bed was the biggest I have every seen! As for service, the staff is... More
