Our first visit to Vientiane and to Laos. We arrived on Bangkok Airways from Phuket via Bangkok. - we did, our bags did not! Staff at Vientiane airport were not very helpful, the sole employee did fill out a form for us etc. and told us to ring later as there was a TG flight arriving later that evening and... More

I recently stayed there for a week and was impressed with the quiet ambience and friendly customer service. The breakfast too was very nice with plenty of choice. Its a good idea to prebook a taxi with the hotel as its cheap and the friendly guy is there to meet you. Good idea too to book with the hotel for... More

Well maintained and clean rooms. The rooms a little compact but we'll laid out. The buffet breakfast is also well laid out. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. Stayed for just 1 night.

This hotel hits a home run for location and service but falls down by the rooms which are so small as not to have room for more than one suitcase. We were on floor 5 on the road side and were not bothered by road noise. The breakfast was very nice with a selection of eggs, excellent expresso and other... More

This hotel is perfect for a few nights exploring Vientiane and the decor ,wood features and sculptures are lovely. The location is central and you can walk to most landmarks. Breakfast was very comprehensive and in a nice peaceful restaurant, a tranquil start to the day. The staff were friendly and most spoke reasonable English, although there was occasional confusion... We used Salana's taxi service from the airport which was great - no negotiating a taxi on arrival. We had booked two rooms for our family and had stated the ages of the children but when we checked in they tried to charge an extra $10USD per child per night as our children were over the age of 8. Of... More

Check in smooth and very friendly staff. Room nice with a nice bathroom, good ac, quiet room. Everything good but quiet pricey for Laos. Location good close to everything, restautants and close to the river and night market and temples

My husband and I stayed for two nights at Salana. The hotel is in a great location close to the river and lots of restaurants. We had a lot of fun exploring the area around it. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Our king sized bed is actually two smaller beds pushed together, so there is... More

This hotel has a good location here in the Capital, but it has some issues. First, it really doesn't have the feel of a boutique hotel. I think there were 6 or 7 floors, with 15 or so rooms on each floor it seemed. My main concern about this place is that much of the staff does not seem to... More

Easy to get a taxi from the airport. Go to the taxi kiosk just inside the main entrance. Great hotel with a fantastic location. The streets just down from the hotel are closed to traffic in the evening at week-ends for stalls etc. We can recommend a local, eating place on the next street parallel to the hotel going east....
