Great location, staff very professional. Room cleaning very satisfactory and swift. Nice rooms. Free coffee from 10.00 to 17.00. Sometimes free cakes! Vientiane is overall quite expensive, and this place offers good value. Wifi works great in the day but gets pretty bad most nights. Bathrooms could be a bit cleaner. Would recommend.

The rooms are nice and they are also good value. But at check in I asked about refilling my water bottles from their big ones. A usual process which is offered free throughout Asia everywhere nowadays. I got told that this is only for the staff and I have to buy plastic bottles, which I obviously wanted to avoid, not... basically the best part of Vientiane, which isn't saying much. We didn't really like the city but the hostel was great. Staff was really helpful and spoke good English. Free coffee (real, not instant) during the day and really really affordable food. Rooms were nice and there was a little balcony on each floor that over looked the street.

Reasonably priced, this hotel also offered us free coffee and bread throughout the day. The room was clean and well maintained, with a view of the temple opposite. The staff were polite and helpful. Room quite small, but not a problem. Good location near the river and plenty of restaurants. Would stay here again.

Good Hostel in Vientiane. Very small but clean room with a shared bathroom in the 4th floor! Staff was friendly and the restaurant in the lobby was good and cheap, also the breakfast was good! They managed to book us train tickets to Bangkok even though all the other tourist information places told us that the train was full?!

I've seen some terrible reviews about this place but we stayed there twice within a couple of weeks and had a great experience. After travelling for a while we are looking for good ratio between quality and price, and cleanliness; anything else is a welcome extra. We were surprised at how well organised the place is, as all the staff... More

Checked into the Mixay Paradise for one night and ended up staying 3 nights while waiting for our Vietnam visa. You have a choice of a room or a room with breakfast. We opted for the room with breakfast for an extra $5. Well worth it. The food was excellent.Clean rooms, linens changed daily and super friendly staff. Good location.

We generally liked it here, though probably would stay elsewhere simply because the rooms are so tiny. But the staff was friendly and it's very clean, so I wouldn't be disappointed if I ended up here again. We had one meal here, and it was okay.

My partner and I stayed at Mixay Paradise early February, 2015. There was no vacancy when we first arrived, but they happily took us up to view a room. A day later a room became available that was even better than the one we'd seen (for the same price). There was a large bathroom with enough room for a comfortable... More

Popular guesthouse, well positioned, lots of rules, fair breakfast, tiny rooms. Better and cheaper than the Benecam that we had booked for our previous night had a full sign every afternoon though, so get there early!
