4 fluffy white towels including a generous bath mat beats any other hotel in this price range which is important considering WeinJahn is hot just like an oven this time of year. 4 different massage parlors are within 50 meters of Lao Silk 40 meters away from the riverwalk and the night market 4th floor room helps you burn off... You can definitely find cheaper options (even on the same street), but Lao Silk Hotel is a decent place if you fancy a comfortable night's sleep or need to take a break from the backpacker's circuit. The rooms are small but well appointed. Oddly enough, the bathroom is a decent size. All rooms have windows, though the ones in the... More

The exterior is very cute - that is why we were attracted to it. And even though the price was really high (200,000 - 300,000/night), we thought we would splurge. We were in room 402, which was small, but cute - had a nice bed, little fridge, tv, balcony to the city, which was lovely. We thought the bathroom would... More

I arrived rather late, about 8pm and my usual option in Vientiane was booked as well as many other options so when I came past Lao Silk I just decided to take it even though it was about double the price of other hotels which are more worth the price. I stayed in the city view room with a balcony... More

This hotel was only 15 quid a night and it was clean and modern with air-con. Oh, and it happened to be next to a pub and a superb Italian restaurant called the Aria Italian Culinary Arts Restaurant. It's pretty close to all the main attractions and is only a short walk to the river where you can dig into... More

We walked in to this hotel upon arriving the city center. Price stated for rear view rooms (which is basically NO VIEW coz it's the back of another building you're looking out at) is $25. We tried our luck and asked if they have any discounts and they gave us a rate of $20 per night. Room was small but... More
