A very well run property , in the heart of Vientiane , it is built around a courtyard, which has a swimming pool for a refreshing dip. The hotel is very quiet bearing In mind it is in the city , and blocks out all street noise. The bedrooms are very comfortable with a huge double bed, and has good... More

Beautiful buildings and settings around a swimming pool. Beds very comfortable and breakfast choice was excellent. Right in the centre and a short walk to most attractions in the centre- but still very peaceful at the same time. We would recommend and would stay again.

This is actually a lovely hotel & I think it looks much better in reality than the photos - perhaps seeing the wider setting in the colonial centre, near the river, brings out the best in the architecture and character! We had a lovely room - a suite - with a balcony running the length of it and over-looking the... More

Our room was ground floor near the swimming pool, facing the reception area, and was excellent. I think the block containing our room is relatively new, so rooms in other blocks ( I think there were 3 others, but not certain) may not be so good. Lovely to be able to relax by the pool after a morning exploring Vientiane.... More

This hotel is clean and very well located. Close to night market, restaurants and cafes. Massage places also close by. Restaurant was good for dinner..nice French style dinner. Romantic setting. Breakfast was very average and not up to the price/standard of this hotel. Service was just average. Pool area is a sanctuary from the city. They have a big coffee... More

This hotel is a good base for visiting Vientiane, but rooms are quite simple and need renovation. Breakfast definitely needs to be improved. The pool area is nice and a offers a good place to rest after visiting the city.

We arrived and were immediately given a welcome drink, and then shown to room one. This is spacious, bright, and with a good bathroom. The shower is strong and hot- not always easy to find in Laos. The room is near the pleasant swimming pool. Wifi works well in the room and in reception. Breakfast was very good. My wife... More

We had a quiet stay, after long trip from Portugal. Nice sleep we had. The hotel is beautiful and well located, you can walk arround the city easily. Nice juices offered and good breakfast. Recommended.

Stayed at the Ansara Hotel in Vientiane in December 2014 with 5 friends. What a charming hotel right in the middle of Vientiane, a stones throw from the Night Market, Restaurants and Shopping and close enough to other Vientiane attractions. Rooms are large and well appointed and beautifully decorated. Toilets clean and well equipped. Free Mini Bar and Internet and... More

Ansara boutique hotel offers a tropical resort atmosphere in the centre of town . The renovated buildings in imperial french style around a centre court with nice pool and a good restaurant. A lot of green , lovely red roofs, clever lighting of the buildings at night ,glimpses of the nearby temple and sound of the temple drums create a... More
