I thought I would go back and try the Ansara 3 course meal again, just to see if first time it was just luck! This time just as great and I had room for some tea, wonderful. So I fully recommend this hotel for evening meals, maybe some day I will treat myself to a stay but as I live... More

The hotel feels new and well-planned, the rooms comfortable and attractive, each with its own private balcony and nice views over the temple rooftops nearby. A winding garden path led to our room, fringed with frangipani and a cool dark blue pool, plus wooden carving for interest. Maybe it is low season, but the hotel fell down on its atmosphere,... Pretty Nice hotel and good service. It is One block from river and walking distance to most of attractions. Delicious breakfast and coffee. Bedrooms really cozy, decoration and view to garden which is also beautiful. I really loved my stay here

We appreciated most of our stay at Ansara but were shocked when the British manager spoke very strongly to his staff when they made a simple mistake with us. We were not upset with the staff at all. The manager's stern and overbearing reaction was rude. It smacked of a colonialist smarter-than-thou attitude. He also had the audacity to remind... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in June 2015. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The staff were very friendly and the included breakfast was one of the best I have had in all my travels - beautiful smoked salmon, tropical fruits, eggs cooked how you liked them. The swimming pool was beautiful - very inviting after walking around... More

I have stayed at the Ansara Hotel twice now for work trips. It's such a beautiful hotel, with extremely friendly staff, and great food. Breakfast is pretty much a buffet, where I felt pampered. The rooms are clean, with good amenities. The only downside was that during the last trip, there was construction taking place (the property was expanding) and... More

We only stayed one night so we didn't make full use of the facilities. However our room size and quality was great. We really liked the little touches like giving us gifts of a handmade scarf and wine. The location is great and the hotel is surprisingly quiet given it is in the city centre. The pool looked a bit... More

I really loved this hotel. From the moment we arrived I knew that it would be lovely. We had arrived late but received such a warm welcome from the staff and the manager ( from Scotland ). Dinner was served to us outside and it was delicious and the atmosphere was great. The room was lovely looking out onto the... More

Charged visa card with full 3 nights immediatly at check-in; then let us wait to give a different room than the previously shown: a smoker-stinky and smaller room with 2 beds. I asked for credit of my visa and went to another hotel, a friendlier and nicier choice.

I had walked past this hotel many times, clearly expensive, but I stopped to look at thier 3 course set menu and thought I would try it. It was excellent, the Tilapia had a bit too much garlic oil but everything else was brilliant including the very reasonably priced house wine. I will go there again, maybe once a month!... More
