Stayed here for one night. It is OK, but there is no bathrobe, bath accessories are used very much (I've seen such a thing first time in my life), the bed linen has a big hole, Wi-Fi isn't good, the window is completely dirty, air conditioner remote doesn't work, breakfast is very poor, it's far from the center. So, I... More

Medium quality hotel, not too far away from the National University or the modern mosque. Room decent size, but desk area crammed. Staff not very friendly, with little knowledge of English. Elevator very slow. Everything a little run down, but bed and bathroom ok (only shower). Desk lamp broken and had to be replacee, refrigerator was not working. When finally... More

First of all, Tengri Hotel is NOT in the new city, but around 10 minutes driving away. Given Astana's private taxi system this should not be a problem, but be aware that (as for 2013) the fix rate is 500 Tenge for a cab drive (regardless the distance). Some drivers will try to ask you 1000 Tg. That is not... More

Tengri Hotel is the bottom-of-the-barrel in accommodations in Astana. Despite being fairly new, the rooms are small, crappy and with poor amenities and not even clean. Requests for an extra towel went unfilled. The breakfast food was awful. Tiny bathroom. Also, I checked out after just one night and they still charged me for a second night "accidentally." Avoid this... More

The breakfast was extensive, local fare and international. The rooms are great, the beds are firm (which I like). The location is good, just around the corner from a Ramstor Supermarket and easy to find. The hotel will order you a taxi if you need one or you can flag one down. TV had BBC.

I stayed two nights at this hotel, on the 10th floor. The bedroom was of decent size, the breakfast generous and the wifi indeed free. On the down side- it felt dowdy and worn, the towels thin with ripped edges, the shower was coming apart and the stream of water weak. The view from the window was of a vast... More

I spent 2 weeks in Tengri hotel in Astana, Kazakhstan capital, and could recommend it as a nice and comportable place to stay. It is well located, close to the main city attractions and beautiful view over the city (especially in the night if you room is at 8 floor or higher). The staff is very friendly, Internet is for... Hotel Tengri at Astana provides a good price/performance service. I enjoyed the huge breakfast choice especially. The free wifi worked without any problem. The room was quite big and warm. The Hotel provides pick-up service from/to the Airport. The travel was at the end of March, so outside was quite cold. There was air-conditioning in the room, I guess for... More

Rooms clean, plenty of hot water. The staff at reception are very helpful, the bar staff less so. Although there is one waiter who is very good. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast has a lot of choice, the toast is too thin for the toaster so it falls down the side and has to be fished out!! A... More

The staff were for the most part pleasant. The room was huge, furniture shabby but OK. The plumbing was a mixture of copper and plastic pipe, very strange, and the water in the shower was only tepid. The sheet did not cover all the mattress, the duvet was a single one for a double bed, there was no mattress cover... More
