I have spent one week in Duman Hotel. The location is very good. Walking distance to big mall Khan Shatyr. Duman Entertainment Centre is in the same location as is Atameken Ethno-Memorial Complex. We walked to The Baiterek Tower but took a taxi Palace of Peace and Reconciliation and the National Museum. Buses are 60 tenge (2,3 euros). No. 12... More

This is a nice hotel to stay in; the architecture is modern, it is adorned with lots of marble and the rooms are large and comfortable. There is a fine and free Wi-Fi system in the lobby and by the bar. The staff, as in all Kazakhstan, are serious and stoic but always polite and helpful. There is a nice... More

The hotel is a typical 3 start hotel in this part of the world, room is basic, bed is hard, towels have black spots, lighting is dim both inside the room and outside in the lobby and hall ways. Staff are not smiling and may not understand guests requests. But overall this is still a functional hotel. The location is... More

I was worried about staying at the Duman when I found out my conference would be held there. Reviews online have not been very kind. And they are quite accurate in many respects. There is tons of room for improvement, but I think they can make it. The location is very good and central. I have found my room to... More

Absolutly ideal location for bussiness purposes, near city center and shopping area. Also there are big variety of restaurants in 10 minitus walk from hotel. The rooms a very big, have spectacular vies and well equiped. But the problem is internet. Many rooms are not connected to wi fi, but reception orders cable connection(which is unusefull for tablets). If you... More

Hotel does not get better. Third visit and still no WiFi in the rooms, no excuse nowadays. Charges extra for pool, fitness area...why? Breakfast very basic and not great quality. In a windy city the area around the hotel is windiest. Hotel could be so much better if the staff and management bothered to try.

The hotel is large with a decent lobby bar area and good size rooms. Its a bit on the older side and while clean and relatively modern there are signs of deferred maintenance in the bathrooms and hallways. The rooms have good views over the city and a balcony that does not open. A simple breakfast is included with very... More

It was an advice below to stay there due to business reasons. I agree to this advice. Prices are reasonable, free wi-fi (low signal unfortunately), possibility of a conference room (former presidential suite). 1. Prices This hotel has reasonable price policy. Early check-in is possible (half of the one night price), which is important, since several international flights arrive to... More

Stayed in the Duman due to a congress held in the proximity . If it was for my choice while visiting Astana for leisure , I would have checked out after seeing the room and look for a better place. Room: Clean , large and spacious but very spartan. Dull furnitures. No in room safe deposit box. Average lightning during... More

I am here in the lounge waiting to find a solution for a problem: they say I have broken the Bath's door, which was already broken when I checked in, and want to charge me 120.000 Ktg, 800$. Totally crazy. My word worth nothing against the word if the woman who clean the rooms! keep away or check everything when... More
