I stayed here on two occaions during February 2015. and have no faults to report whatsoever. Staff are freindly and efficient. Jim is a fund of local knowledge. The situation is close by the ferry terminald nd the vibrant nightlife. Food is good and the prices are reasonable. The laundry returns your whites white, unlike other hotels in the country.... Stayed there for 2 stints of 7 and then 5 days in February. Brilliant location right on the river. What makes this place though is the friendliness of the owner Jim and his staff. It really felt like I was staying with one big family rather than the usual impersonal hotel experience. Jim couldn't be more helpful and knowledgeable about... More

This is a moderately priced small hotel on the river that is good value for money. The rooms are small but good and are cleaned daily. The bar and restaurant area is clean and friendly. I know for a fact that travelers return here on a regular basis. Jim the owner is a friendly and helpful host. The Hotel is... More

I was for 3 weeks in Phnom Penh, nice place to stay, freidnly staff, clean rooms, nice food aswel khmer as western, new furniture in the rooms. Dont look further for this price. And only 2 blocks away from 104 street. Only negative detail, de neighbours are a bit noisy and start working early, ask a room without window, you... More

I booked a room at California 2 but that doesn't necessarily mean I wouldn't. I just like to have the option to go to use the swimming pool and Cali 2 doesn't have either. I like to go to Cali 2 to hang out and if you have ever been there you should try it. The main reason I like... More

I have stayed at the Cali 2 on many occasions over the past few years and will continue to stay there when I am in Phnom Penh. Quite simply beyond the great location, staff, food, drinks, rooms and overall environment the place is an excellent value for the money. It is also one of the few places I have stayed... More

California 2 is a great place to stay for both short and longer stays, my only regret this trip was that it was for just one night. It's located perfectly, far enough away from the nightlife to give a peaceful nights sleep, yet close enough to walk to the busiest night spots in town, great food from the restaurant in... More

Shane behind the bar at the California2 was very friendly and gave me some great advice for a solo travellers first day in the busy and awesome destination of Phomn Penh. While on my second great cup of coffee at the bar he said "Go out and get a couple of lungs full of Cambodian air into you". Which I... More

Now been staying twice at Hotel California 2 and both times I enjoyed myself immensely. From the moment I entered the hotel it took me 4 (!!) hours to get to my room. Felt right at home and met some great people in the bar/restaurant. Rooms are definitely adequate for the price paid. Location is great. Jim, the owner, is... More
