This hotel is excellent if you want somewhere cheap to stay in Phnom Penh & its close to the airport. Ideal for stop overs! However, its a long way from the bars and restaurants on the river front & 51 Street. Its too far to walk and it can be awkward to negotiate a good price with tuk tuk drivers.... More

We were supposed to stay in the Lucky Star 2 hotel but they gave my room away to someone else who hadn't booked. Even though I had already paid for the room a week ago. This review is for the Lucky Star 1 which they transferred us to. I have been in Cambodia for 3 weeks so have stayed at... More

I really can't add much to what has already been said, but I can confirm that from the Soriya Bus Station, it is a $2 tuktuk ride, and from the hotel, it is $6 to the airport. The hotel has a small and eccentric lift; you have to be really, really very quick to enter, and make sure you hold... More

Took the taxi from the airport for USD9. Presented a print-out of my booking details and check-in only took a few seconds. The receptionist could speak English and allowed me to check-in at 9.30am ! Wow !.The room was big and satisfactorily clean. Impressed by the 68 channels TV, cool air-con, hot strong shower and free mineral water. Wifi provided... More

I first thought of choosing the hotel on my trip to Phnom Penh only because it looked like a hotel in my hometown Ipoh (Malaysia) which happens to go by the name Lucky Hotel. Looks the same, sounds the same. What are the odds. I would avoid a shophouse motel at all costs so hence, this very building just had... More

About 10 mins by tuk-tuk from riverside and main attractions, Lucky Star was a reasonable budget choice for our group. Everything was ok, no problems, breakfast had plenty of choice. For USD15-20 not a bad choice at all.

There are several hotels lucky star hotels at the area. Make sure you check in at Lucky Star 2 which is the newest one. The USD20 rooms are good value. Rooms are big, well lit, clean and have good wifi connection. Make sure you instruct them to give you a room with window. The front desk staff are not that... More

It is my first time traveling solo so the $15/night suits me just fine. With this rate, I know I have to always manage my expectations. This way, I won't be disappointed. I stayed for 3 nights and its very convenient to the Olympic Supermarket, City Mall and Grocery Store. There's a nearby KFC too so for sure you won't... More
